Hopefully he's do something stupid on SNL tonight. Let me know, b/c I won't be watching.
This is where you can not call yourself an Independent. You've already established time and again Hillary is your favorite - so be it - but having someone tell you if Trump does something stupid shows how narrow and closed minded you are. You allow other people to make your decisions for you instead of watching the show and making your own assessment. That's why most of your comments, as they aren't really contributions, are totally ignored and a waste of your time and a waste of time for the rest of us - that's why I'll just put you on ignore.
Trump won't get a big boost from Carson's demise, because Carson's supporters are religious people. Trump is not - not even close. Those people will mostly go to Cruz. As Cruz surges, the bandwagon fans will jump on board and Cruz will take the lead. Trump is toast.
I don't support Trump, yet, but his polling stability has shocked me. The last few months have shown he is a serious candidate and I believe has an excellent chance of becoming president. I think it is partly because many of his opponents campaigns have fallen apart. I believe Carson has peaked and Bush is basically done. Cruz and Rubio are likely his last real opponents. He offers one a VP spot and he has the nomination. At this point I'd bet money on Trump winning the presidency.

You best not bet much. Trump has shown an unmerciful, judgmental, ruthless mind-set. That is not a winning formula for gaining the Presidency!!

I'm not predicting Cruz for the win - just that he benefits when Carson tanks. It will come down to Cruz versus an establishment candidate and the establishment will win. Rubio appears to be the establishment favorite right now, but he is seriously flawed with financial revelations and is not experienced enough. Bush is still in this in spite of the reports of his demise. But I must admit he has been a terrible campaigner and is looking weak. Christie and Kasich are possibilities as well. I like Christie, always have, but the Rs don't know a good candidate when they see one.
