What a tragedy! SNL had some of the best and most well done political satire in its history! The new age of SNL is just worthless. All you need to do is go back and watch a Reagan sketch or see Chevy Chase doing Gerald Ford! Even better were the shows during the Bush v. Dukakis election. SNL was equally abusive and equally hilarious in those years. They didn't need to bring the real candidates on, because the writing and acting was so smart and spot on, that it would have diminished the quality!

It`s no surprise that the show got great ratings. Who doesn`t want to tune in to a freak show? Evel Knievel anyone? He had as much of a chance of being POTUS as Trump.
