Jeb can't win for losing when given a tIme travel question that he answered honestly is heavily criticized for being callous. This is a clear sign that he should give up his quest for being president. Even if he's elected, it'll be a long 4 yrs of contant negativity. It's pretty clear that there's very little support for a former Bush - his father and brother have left negative legacies that even if Jeb is a different president, he'd be looked on as just another Bush.

Who wouldn't want to eliminate the person responsible for murdering six million Jews and causing hundreds of thousands of our Americans to lose their lives as young adults in battles in Normandy, Battle of the Buldge, and an argument could be made for war in the Pacific as well as the people who died from our own nuclear bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We spent trillions in our own defene afterwards to rebuild and protect Europe during the Cold War as well.

Some estimates were 60-80 million deaths resulted from WW2.

Regarding the comments that insist the Democrats aren't asked silly questions, that's just so untrue. However, a candidate has 3 choices when answering this question. Yes, No and I can't answer that question. I don't support Dr. Carson, but at least in this case, he was being consistent with his anti-abortion views.

This is a very old "gotcha" question that has been asked candidates from both parties in the past. Why they need to say "baby Hitler" instead of just "Hitler" shows how ludicrous it is.

Why didn't Jeb just say he would never kill any baby, but he would kidnap him and raise him in a loving, nurturing home that teaches respect, tolerance and celebrates cultural diversity? If he wants to appeal to the so-called evangelicals, then he could add, "I would kidnap baby Hitler and teach him about Jesus, forgiveness and loving one another."
I agree. It repulses me to hear that he would kill baby Hitler or any baby and it shows ignorance. If it were not Hitler that moved forward with what was done, there were others that most likely would have started the "movement" that he did. He had a LOT of followers who could just as easily become the head evil one. They just needed to elect another member to lead them.

I would have refused to answer the question simply because it was a stupid question. Nonsense isn't worth addressing, thus my "ignore" list here at C-D.

That should be everyone's go to thing to do if they had a time machine. That, and go into the future to pick up some winning lottery numbers.

Without question. Surprised that anyone would chastise Bush for the answer. Saving 50-60 million people.

"What if?" questions are totally stupid. They all come from an alternate universe of history, and since history can't be changed, they are completely worthless in helping choose a leader for the United States in this present time.

Baby Hitler was born in 1889. No one alive now from 1889. That was 126 years ago.
What if baby Hitler was strangled in his crib by his mother?
What if baby Hitler had been run over by a horse?
What if baby Hitler grew up, got married, took over his father's store, had kids, grandkids, and died without doing a single un-ordinary thing in his life?

What if we start asking our candidates intelligent questions?

Jeb should have just said the question was ridiculous, had no relevance to 2016, and refused to answer.
