Also looking at that chart, isn't it amazing how Reagan was able to be such an effective President even with a Democratic Congress? He was a true leader through and through!
For all of the Republican b*tching about Obama's Executive Orders, it interesting how few he's actually signed as compared to Reagan. From the hysteria roused up by talk radio, you would have the impression that he's signed a new one every day he's been in office. Of the last 10 Presidents only G.H.W. Bush and Ford signed less. Bush served only one term and Ford served a little over 2 years after Nixon resigned.

As I said in my previous post, you Republicans talk-the-talk about outsourcing jobs but when it comes to passing the legislation that would stop t he practice, you're all talk and GOP Members and Senators vote the way their corporate masters tell them to vote. Pitty the working person if there was also a GOP President.
These entry level positions are a spawn of a corporate tax rate so high that corporations with good paying jobs move overseas or simply cease to exist. Obama supports a high corporate tax rate, does he not?

As we transition to a service based economy (which Obama advocates through the killing of production and extractions through ridiculous EPA regulations), the jobs that go along with that simply don't pay as well. This is why we have burger flippers demanding $15 per hour minimum wage.

What were the nature of the other Presidents' executive orders? Since you're such an expert on these, apparently, what were they using executive orders for?

When Obama uses them, it's often to do stuff that he would otherwise have to go through Congress to accomplish (like amnesty). THAT is the difference.

Do you make up your replies on the spot out of thin air?

If one looks at the effective corporate tax rate, which is the rate corporations actually pay, instead of the statutory rate, the rate on the books, it's close to the lowest in modern history. In fact, many profitable corporations pay no taxes. The amount of taxes as a p% of GDP is very low by historical standards.

The trend of more services in the economy has been going on for four decades. Yet, the United States has a massive manufacturing base.

EPA regulations are ridiculous? You would rather gave unbreathable air and polluted water? I have to laugh at your charge that Obama has killed extraction. I guess you don't realize that under Obama the nation went from an importer of oil to an exporter.

In summary, your arguments are shoot-from-the-hip and easily undercut.

Play a roll? Of course! They always do. But determine the election? Probably not. The 'silent majority' is actually a Nixonian term used to describe mostly white low income and mid-income conservative voters.

Here's the problem, and consider this very carefully: The silent majority is no longer the majority! They still exist, but older conservative white voters are no longer the majority. Minority, younger, and women voters now out-number them. That's how Obama won... twice!

Older white voters overwhelmingly supported both McCain and Romney, but obviously they didn't win. The 'silent majority' is now the grumpy old minority.
