Trump is just taking advantage of his dwindling audience while he still can.

In the US, even in you have a concealed carry license, I don't think you are allowed to bring the weapon into a sporting event or concert type place that has huge crowds. There are exceptions to where you are allowed to carry your weapon. Only law enforcement types are excluded from these exceptions.

But it depends on the state's concealed weapons rules. In several states that I know of, taking your weapon to concerts and sporting events are not allowed even when you have a permit to carry.

If I were in France I wouldn't want to arm citizens. All that's gonna do is arm the radicals already living in France and increase crime. Why do you all think the U.S. and most Latin America is so violent?

The French make fun of us for having such high rate gun violence, why would they want that in their country? Terrorist attacks are gonna occur no matter what and many are done with bombs.

Why is it that the people most ignorant of firearms insist on starting firearms related posts and assert crap they know nothing about?

France 1 gun death per 100,000......USA 5 gun deaths per 100,000 population. I don't think they need any suggestions from Clown Trump about whether they should allow guns freely in their society.

Trump should stick to what he knows best, war on Christmas

Conservatives have managed to irk the entire world by taking another country's tragedy and turning into their personal political platform.

Why are we surprised by this?

Guns in the hands of citizens wouldn't have mattered much at the concert in Paris.
Imagine you are enjoying the show when suddenly POP POP POP and people start scattering. #1 take cover #2 find the shooter #3 gauge whether he is close enough to hit with your everyday carry piece. The shooters had AK47's that have a long range and are accurate at 100 yards, up to 400 in the hands of marksman. Handguns are not that accurate even in the hands of an expert.
Did you bring extra bullets or do you only have the 6-10 in your gun? If you start shooting at the terrorists how long will it be before they notice and draw their guns on you? Other people will be saved because the terrorists will be unloading on you.
I don't know too many people willing to take that kind of heat.

In the US you can't even bring a bottle of water into a concert never mind a hand gun.

What the Paris venues needed was more security but then again say you have 3-4 guys checking everyone for weapons with metal detecting wands and pat downs suddenly 2 guys with AK47's roll up. It wouldn't take much for the terrorists to force their way in in about 30 seconds.

Terrorists like mass shooters need to be stopped at the door before they get in.
