First,
  • Trump signed pledge that he won't run as Independent if not nominated by GOP.
  • Bernie Sanders is quoted to have said he won't run as Independent if not nominated by DNC. (He does run as Independent for Congress)
So why is it that people who continue to raise spectre of Trump running as 3rd party candidate? Yet people continue to insist that Bernie Sanders won't do it?

Thoughts?

Because Trump refuses to totally rule it out, despite signing the pledge.

Bernie is a lot of things, but he's not a liar.

So, Bernie never told a lie in his entire life? And you know this, how...?

Because Trump is a Liar that will say anything that sounds good at the moment and retains the right to go back on his statements any time he wishes. Will not matter since neither Trump or Sanders will ever be President of the United States of America, and That is a Good Thing.

We don't NEED to know that. All that's necessary is to hear Trump make repeated threats TO run as an independent. It may well be that Bernie would run as an independent (though I doubt it), whereas we KNOW that Trump has threatened to do so. THAT'S the difference.

Trump (when asked if he'd consider an independent run): "I'll have to see what happens". He repeated that threat just 6 days ago.
