A Rev. Darrell Scott decided that he liked the idea of a president Trump and invited 99 other "prominent" black preachers to a meet and greet with Trump. At least that is what the 99 invitees thought.

I suspect that either Scott told the Trump people that this meeting could lead to an endorsement or Trumps people just decided to run with the idea, either way it has started a backlash of sizable proportions with some of the invitees going on social media not only stating that they had no intention of endorsing Trump, they wouldn't even have attended the event in the first place.

+10 points for proper use of kerfuffle in a sentence.

A press conference scheduled for Monday, where GOP front runner Donald Trump had expected to announce the support of black clergyman, has been cancelled after the pastors blasted the campaign for announcing they would be endorsing him, reports CNN.

So, not only did the Trump organization lie that these folks were going to endorse Trump, it lied that all those folks were even going to meet with him. Some MAY well meet with him, some may not, some MAY endorse him (though I doubt it), most (if not all) will not. This is a far cry from the press release issued by Trumps followers. Not a surprise though since much of what Trump says is either a huge exaggeration or an outright lie.

I take it you are voting for Sanders?

I think the question IS - will 100 Pastor's be showing up to meet with Donald Trump and then subsequently endorse him? At least that is the premise of the thread.

Default Who cares?

So, in order words, Trump promised them a great deal of MONEY if they would endorse him.

If religion were important in the black community, and if these so-called black "leaders" were so relevant within the black community, there wouldn't be so much black-on-black crime or problems within the black community...meaning, these people don't change the glaring fact that DEMS OWN THE BLACK VOTE.
