Trump peaked about a month ago. He has milked it for about all he can with the juvenile gestures and the bar room bravado. As he continues with it, more moderate Republicans who were attracted to his candidacy will see that he is just not the guy for the job and switch support to the others. Trump will hang on to the hard core until the end. Won't be enough to get him nominated though as it is only about 25% of the party.
I seem to remember that Ron Paul got large crowds turning out to see him. That didn't get him very far.
Bernie Sanders gets huge crowds - filling auditoriums and stadiums - and he won't be a contender either.
Bernie practically dropped out after Hillary praised him on stage for trying to bury the email scandal. Have you heard of him recently? Is he still alive? Same goes for the rest of the Republican field. Where are they? I don’t think you can find a candidate even if you want to vote for someone other than Trump. Trump holds a rally in the middle of Thanksgiving weekend. None of your comparisons apply.

I read earlier today that in Iowa, where the first primary is, that Trump's numbers have fallen by 12%. He was already in second place. Where does that put him now? Third place? Fourth place???
They sabotaged Ron Paul to the point where he couldn't even appear on Fox News even if his life depended on it. If there's one thing Trump is doing right is he's everywhere. He's on TV on a daily basis.
Trump is an interesting experiment to see how far he can can go:
1. as a Washington outsider
2. poor relationships with media
3. poor minority support
4. with less than enthusiastic support from RNC
5. as a rogue candidate
The circus draws big crowds, too. That doesn't mean people will vote for a clown for president, though.
We already have a clown running this Country, if you can call it that. Look at the clowns that voted for Obama, so I guess you have a point. SO many clowns voted for Obama.
The morons putting down Trump were/are obambo supporters. 'nuff said.
Haven't you read, not-too-crazy-Republicans (aka establishment Republicans) are against Mr. Trump, too.
