I guess "very rich" is a relative term, but his proposals would increase my taxes significantly. I don't want to see the cap lifted from the social security tax, I don't want to pay his health care initiative tax increase, I don't want to see the estate tax raised. Being in the "AMT class", I already feel like I pay too much in taxes so why would I vote for someone that wants to increase my tax burden so much? I wish I was paying 15% like Warren Buffet, Mitt Romney, and the other billionaires he might use as his examples, but I'm not. I'm paying significantly more than that, and his proposals aren't just targeting them, they are targeting me too. I would have to be an idiot to vote for him.

I don't think that anyone here illegally should get any taxpayer benefits whatsoever. That includes free schooling for their children. That might seem harsh, but we already do enough to encourage people to come here illegally. We either have a sovereign nation or we don't. As a doctor, I'm not going to let anyone die in front of me, regardless of whether they can pay me or not. So yes, I will do everything in my power to save them, and take whatever pittance that charity care pays me, over encouraging more people to come here illegally and pay me the going rate of insurance.

How the heck does Kasich have 15% in South Carolina?

If you don't think that anyone here illegally should get any taxpayer benefits whatsoever, including free schooling for their children, then your beef is with the Supreme Court that decided that children, regardless of citizenship, are entitled to education.

As for not wanting to pay this tax or that tax, nobody likes paying taxes, but we have to fund a government and we should do it in a way that puts less burden on those less able to pay it.

Hospitals DO perform medicine on the poor for free but that cost is built into overhead that the rest of use pay.

CBS Poll has Trump at 42% in SC.

SC is a winner take most in delegate allocation instead of proportional. So the winner could walk away with the vast majority of the state's 50 delegates.

I never blamed Bernie for that, though I am sure he agrees with the ruling. What I AM blaming Bernie for is proposing to take it even further. If I didn't agree with free schooling, why would I agree with tax payer funded health insurance?

There is a whole range of services that one can expect, or not, to be provided by the tax payer. That is the difference between capitalism on one end and socialism on the other. Bernie wants to provide more than I want to pay for.

Right. And it is one thing to provide emergency care to illegal immigrants. It is another to make them part of the system. Our government has been sending mixed messages to these people for a long time, which is part of the reason they keep coming. The government needs to send a clear message that if you don't come here legally, you don't belong here. Barring emergency services, only citizens should get government services of any kind. No drivers licenses, no obamacare, no taxpayer support whatsoever until you are here legally.

But this is why I was hesitant to answer your question "Why I would not vote for Bernie Sanders." I was not looking for a debate on the merits of the policies. They are subjective, and these debates usually go nowhere.

this probably means little since these polls, all polls so far were before the debate. That may or may not change things. BTW, someone just posted Trump has 42%; again a case of miss polling most likely. I will say it again, anyone who thinks any candidate would be up that much in a primary is probably not thinking straight. Will Trump win in SC? Probably, will he get 42% probably not.

The final poll from pollster ARG was extremely close to the final results for the NH GOP Primary.

They were good on the Republican side in N.H, but terrible on the Democratic side.
