Trump fans always make excuses for polls that show Hillary destroying Trump in nearly every head to head national poll. They say its from an unreliable source or how polls 8 months out don't matter blah, blah, blah. Yet when it's a poll with Trump winning 8 months out, they can't post it and shout it from the rooftops quick enough

Actually, it looks like Trump has reached that ceiling, or his debate 'performance' and other crude antics are starting to turn people off big time. Things have changed very quickly.

NBC? LOL. The were foolish enough to declare Ben Carson the frontrunner just a couple of months ago. Where is he now?

When will people learn that NBC and all it's byproducts lack credibility. This is, after all, the home of Brian Williams.

Trump destroys Cruz in Mississippi. Miss was supposed to be one of Cruz's "firewall" states. Cruz at this point is in 3rd place in Michigan.

As I said NBC/WSJ polls are simply hit jobs against Trump.

Trump pretty much has the nomination..... However, the GOP fear is his "election machine" will file for bankruptcy before the the Nov election.

you keep repeating the same non-sense......the General Election is not about popular vote....its about winning key states like Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania.

Can you show me the polls in each key states that Hillary is "destroying" Trump.?............if Trump can't beat Hillary than Rafael Cruz will get kill by Hillary since Cruz can't win any independents and bring in Democrats.

and forget about Cruz winning the women vote with his abortion and anti-planned parenthood stand....Cruz will get killed by Hillary in the general because he can't compete in any of the blue collar states like Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania........Cruz is losing to Hillary in Florida while Trump is beating her in a close race.

Hillary beating Trump by 8% 9 months away shows Hillary is in trouble...........and this is with the media and the GOP establishment against Trump and Trump has no SUPER PACS and Hillary is only up by 8%?????? this is good news for Trump.

I've heard it said that "we all rise to the level of our incompetence."

Released this morning 3/9/2016:

Donald Trump is leading two of his Republican presidential rivals in their home states, topping Sen. Marco Rubio in Florida and Gov. John Kasich in Ohio, new CNN/ORC polls show.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is far ahead of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in both states.

In Ohio, Trump holds 41% to Kasich's 35%, with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in third at 15% and Rubio in fourth with 7%.

And in Florida, Trump holds 40% to Rubio's 24%, with Cruz at 19% and Kasich at 5%.

CNN/ORC Poll: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton lead in Florida, Ohio - CNNPolitics.com

Notice one thing though about the CNN polls:

"Respondents were asked questions about whether they are registered to vote, their likelihood of voting, past voting behavior, and interest in the campaign. Based on the answers to those questions, 609 respondents were classified as likely voters, including 313 who were likely to participate in the Republican presidential primary and 264 who were likely to participate in the Democratic presidential primary."

Florida reported that the biggest problem in the early voting was Independents showing up to vote and being turned away because they have to be registered Republican to vote. I'm betting those same Independents told pollsters they are registered to vote and they are likely to vote, not knowing they aren't allowed to vote. If I'm right, Trump's poll numbers are going to be higher than the actual voting results in Florida. If so, watch the news media spin it as Trump underperforming. Trump needs to work his tail off in Florida. He can't coast on those poll numbers which I think are wrong.

Dexter is also missing the point that the Democrats have no enthusiasm for their candidates. Here is one story: GOP turnout surged 50 percent, Democrats dropped nearly 30 percent in Iowa caucuses - Washington Times. I did hear the same thing yesterday; but I cannot find a link. Many Democrats don't really care if Hillary wins. Some might jump for Trump.

It is far too early to predict how any Fall showdown will play out. But Hilliary should not count her chickens yet.
