Anyone who isn't thoroughly delusional understand that all presidential candidates at one time or another make false statements. Usually these statements aren't obviously false, but instead contain things are partially true, but in a different context from how they're presented, etc.

While much of what Trump says might feel true (truthiness) it's blatantly and obviously false. In other words, he's either either a blatant liar or thoroughly delusional. Factcheck.org is a neutral and fair source that evaluates statements made by persons and organizations for factual accuracy. Again, this evaluation is based on actual facts, not what feels true:

Where were all you people with your concerns about "facts" in 2008 or 2012? What is it about Republican candidates that brings out all this righteousness?

Just kidding, I know the answer.

They did it far more artfully and eloquently than Trump. Obama, Hilary, McCain, and Romney all told reasonably well fabricated untruths (maybe not Romney). Trump's are just blatantly false. That's the difference.

Who cares!

No one has cared to pay any attention to the fact checking on Bush, Obama, Hillary or Trump.

It is a popularity contest, not anything to do with being a leader.

Default Evaluating the Factual Accuracy of Trump's Statements.

I have to credit Trump for generating a lot of interest this early in the campaign. But his "truthiness" doesn't add anything to substantive policy considerations. He's good at small ball, is all. If he gets the GOP nomination, he'll be buried in November.

And it couldn't happen to a better party.

I have been beat by small ball more than all the home runs combined.

That bunt can be really dangerous with some speed on the bases

Any Lefty that espouses this is to be completely ignored like it was never said. They have absolutely no room to talk whatsoever with all the Dems that have been caught serial lying, from stating they were war vets, under sniper fire, dead broke, not receiving classified emails, I'm a Christian to you can keep your doctor.

I love the chart that shows an increasing job openings. Just this Morning I heard (on NPR) a McDonald's worker say that her boss cut her hours because he brought more people in. Sure. They change a 40 hr a week worker into two 20 hr a week workers so they don't have to pay benefits and it looks good on the economic growth charts! They hired a new worker!
Figures don't lie, but liars figure. The economic situation is bad and Trump is calling them out on it.

Indeed. Trump has ushered in the age of post-factual politics.
