Default Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

Yep, he sure could beat the Republican's in November with THIS record, huh?

He sponsored S.CON.RES.53: A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that any effort to impose photo (broken link) identification requirements for voting should be rejected.

In 1999 he was the only Illinois (broken link) State Senator to vote against a bill barring early release for (criminal) sex (broken link) offenders.

He voted against filtering pornography on school and library computers and he voted for sex (broken link) education (broken link) for kindergarten children (broken link) through the 5th grade.

Also, in 2001, he voted “present” on a bill to keep pornographic book (broken link) and video (broken link) stores and strip clubs from setting up within 1,000 feet of schools (broken link) and churches.

Just as unsettling is his voting record on abortion.

Twice, Obama voted against bills prohibiting tax funding of abortions.
In 2003, as chairman of the next Senate committee to which BAIPA (Born Alive Infants Protection Act) was sent, Obama prevented it from even getting a hearing. BAIPA, by the way, stated that all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted.

In 2001, he voted “present” on a bill to notify parents (broken link) when their minor children (broken link) seek an abortion.

He voted against a cloning ban in 2000, but voted for it in 2001.

In 1997, Obama twice voted “present” on an Illinois (broken link) partial-birth abortion (broken link) ban.

--In 2001 he voted against a bill in the Illinois legislature that would have allowed the death penalty to be imposed if a gang member committed murder "in furtherance of the activities of a gang.”
Obama said it would treat black and Latino people unfairly, and that lawmakers were over-reacting to one incident in which gang members murdered a man in Chicago.
“It's problematic for us to continually pass criminal laws based on anecdote. When we have a single situation when a prosecutor doesn't get what he wants, we come down here and pass a law, which is why we have a criminal code rife with contradictions," the Associated Press quoted Obama as saying.
-In 2005, Obama, who was born in Hawaii, supported a bill, the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act which would have allowed Native Hawaiians to set up their own governmental body to open government-to-government negotiations with the United States.
The bill limited eligibility to take part in this new government to the direct lineal descendants of “the aboriginal, indigenous, native people” who lived in Hawaiian Islands prior to 1893.

But critics of the bill, such as Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said it “would create a race-based and racially separate government for Native Hawaiians.”

Nah, he's not a RACIST. He backed a Bill that would allow Hawaii to virtually CECEDE from the Union!

Tip:

People are pretty much committed to their candidates by now. Those who are not committed, are likely independent--usually more informed on the actual issues, and very attuned to desparate, last minute tactics intended to appeal to their impulsiveness. And if there's one thing that independent voters despise, is having their intelligence insulted.

So keep up the good work.

I am not insulting anybody's intelligence, and I resent that remark. I am merely pointing out some the actual facts behind Obama's "Change" rhetoric. It is more than fair to call attention to some of the things that he would like to "change".

Apparently, He's not ashamed of these things or he wouldn't have voted for or against them, right? How is it "insulting" to discuss things that are a matter of PUBLIC RECORD?

C'mon Gretchen it's Super Tuesday lets give the conspiracy theories a rest. It's not helping your candidate, his pathetic showings demonstrate that. Here, take a look at some polls RP is sitting in single digits for today as well.

You're refuting something that I didn't say. IOW, I didn't say that your "actual facts" were untrue (or true).

In any event, carry on.
