Insult only means you can't address what was posted with logic or fact.

It's not a bad sample size - 5.4% EOM, give or take.

I live in CA. The primary here is so late that it doesn't make any difference. I see this every election cycle. No Republican can or will win this state. It's not going to happen. People here are too dependent on the government, too left wing liberal and too stuck in their ways. It wouldn't matter if the Democratic candidate whoever they may be was convicted of murder. The majority here would vote democratic. It's life in CA.

Those late primary polls are irrelevant at this point since how Cruz does later on is dependent on whether he wins the Iowa caucus and catches momentum from that. I wish it weren't irrelevant because it'd be great news for Democrats if normal electable Republicans were iced out but so be it.

I think Cruz's stated political positions are barbaric but he's probably the smartest person in the GOP field. He's let Trump hoist himself by his own petard while quietly compiling support from evangelicals and hard economic conservatives. He's just completely unprincipled and I imagine had he grown up in California instead of Texas, he'd be the most liberal liberal out there. He's a lot like Lyndon Johnson, he cares about nothing but winning, principles and ethics be damned.

Rand Paul is the smartest. The smartest things Ted Cruz has said he got from Rand Paul. Too bad Rand Paul isn't resonating with voters. He's smart, principled, and wouldn't have us in five more wars by the end of his term. He also seems like a nice guy with character, whereas Cruz calls people liars on the senate floor and acts like he's always the smartest person in the room. I like your take on him because he does seem like he would want to win at all costs, principles be damned. Weird from a preacher's kid.
