It is so scripted by the trump people that it is obvious and anyone who has ever done political productions know exactly what he's doing. I did technical support for John McCain's and Palin's stops in Arizona including the Arizona Biltmore fiasco. Lighting, sound etc. This is an old ruse to convey to the rest of the world how HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!! Donald Trump is. They book a 5000 seat venue and it's just another stop on a long campaign.
Yep. It's an old promoter's trick. It's been used for years.

Makes no sense given a 10,000 seat venue would have showed even more interest given images would have been of seats filled to capacity..

MSNBC dedicated the evening to Trump in Vermont. One of the reporters claimed 10-25% was a normal overbooking rate.

Who knows? Maybe significantly overstating the number of tickets distributed was just another attention getting strategy.

Ticket holders had to pass a " loyalty test" before passing through metal detectors. No weapons allowed.

Well.. it's always been in my view..however..those big player's/corporations shipping jobs over there..along with Chin'a ability to manipulate their dollar/financial's..has been going on for FAR TOO long!! and IF you believe it wouldn't affect USA..You are dreaming..just check out the Dow in the past week!! China sneezes and the DOW catches a COLD!! LOL

BTW~~ Retired folks live off of 401K's which rely on investments..so YEH..It directly affects AMERICANS...Go in peace..and have to assume you are NOT reliant of investment income in order to survive!!

This has NOTHING to do with BO..it all has to do with "Market manipulation" by Countries who have a need to create a false economy...America can't..but countries like China who claims 6-7% GDP are total liars..and meanwhile the everyday folk.. breath in deadly smog..noted almost daily ...SMH..China has been told for years+++ but they are just unable to play by the global rules of engagement...thus this weeks..Close their Marketplace 2x in one week..LOL today after 30 minutes...Talk about creating panic amongst affluent money folks!! LOL

China is learning a very hard lesson..and it's been advised to them for over decade..manipulations of the market has been recognized for so long..and those poor Chinese Citizens suffer with poor air quality..get attacked when demonstrate..and bet these demonstrators end up in some prison!!

China is not known as a Free Democratic Country..however..Democratic Country's MUST deal and negotiate with them..therwise..Global economy would CRASH..then Crash again!! and no one could sell anything..anywhere since nobody would have anything to purchase ..however..those top 1%'er's just might end up profiting > if they didn't jump off that high-rise due to market collapse...

People sitting in an auditorium

vs.

A very long line of people hoping to get into an event they've been told is overbooked. First and foremost.....Trump is a showman. He knows how to get people's attention. It's what he lives for. This is an old stunt that's been used for years to garner more press attention.

I know. It's so obvious to anyone who's done any mass events.
These Trump supporters are playing it up like the second coming of JC himself.
And they call us sheep.

10,000 people sitting in the crowd would look far better for national tv coverage at showing massive support than 1400..

Remember Obama filling stadiums?

I just doubt they issued 20,000 tickets.. no way..

I used to rent out venues and we always wanted a full crowd, even if we had to give tickets away, but you dont overbook by 10 fold, that would be ridiculous..

I've done mass events, you always use the largest venue you can, long as you have a full house. you dont ever want empty seats but the bigger the venue, the better you are at emphasizing how popular something is.

For someone who has done mass events that is a pretty lame statement. Of course you want as big a venue as possible but you don't know how many will show up. Therein lies the challenge. Trump was criticized for holding a rally at a football stadium in Alabama last year. There were endless debates and various shots of the stadium at every which angle trying to prove the stadium was half empty.
