A lot of people going to these Trump rallies are going for the spectacle. You have to admit it's a sideshow. Telling your friends "yeah, I went and you're not going to believe what happened" is par for what this election has become. Time will tell as to how many actual votes Trump gets but I think he will probably get the GOP nomination. For a lot of right wingers, Trump is their dream candidate, spouting all the rhetoric they say at home - but from a microphone. They love it.

Then why is that everyone they interview on TV say they are voting for Trump? And you know those journalists are turning over rocks to get someone at these rallies to say otherwise..

How do you know he was the only one in that crowd?

Trump's biggest highlight was shaving Vince McMahon's head.

I agree that he probably can get the nomination just on the strength of his bluster appealing to a lot of angry people. I'm looking forward to the general election where he will have to actually explain how a lot of what he says now at his rallies would be implemented. Such as the wall with Mexico or mass deportations or the 45% tariff with China. That is when the rubber will meet the road. Right now his campaign is all based on emotion; not a lot of logic and detail. That is fine for a primary; not a general election. Got to have some substance when that starts.

Rock Hill, SC is 40% black. And it's less than 30 miles from Charlotte, NC, a large and diverse city that attracts people from all over the country due to white-collar job growth. I'm sure many of the people at the rally were Charlotte residents. They do not fit the stereotype of the backwoods, uneducated Southern bigot.

I think Trump will get the nomination. And I think he is loving saying these outrageous things every day, insulting everyone, kicking out protesters, taking people's coats, crowing to the the powerless so they can vicariously feel powerful. But when it comes to the general election, we will see. Maybe he even wins. But I think in no time, he will be absolutely hated, detested and either impeached or not re-elected. This kind of nasty rhetoric gets old fast and the Republican party will own the result.

Donald Trump rallies supporters in Rock Hill

Place was packed with 6500, local fire marshal turned away another 5000. No other candidate holds rallies like this anywhere they go in the USA. This is the same University where Hillary, Bernie and the rest held their MSNBC TV "forum" where only 3000 showed up.
Bernie has held several with far bigger numbers. I think you might want to expand your news sources a bit my friend.
