no-one figured he would surge as much as he has

hahahaha

So you will wait to see what happens, then declare if you believe if he was right or not. OK

I hope you realize, this doesn't do much of anything, for what you argue.

Indeed. But some here put forth that Nate Silver is quite prophetic. Anything he says should be believed. That is, of course, until he says something they don't believe. LOL.

It appears most of these people oppose Trump with a white-hot passion. The Republican powerbrokers oppose him because they think he will actually result in the destruction of the Republican party. You can imagine their mortification as they watched the UK Parliament debate on television banning the leading Republican candidate for president. They will do ANYTHING to not have this guy as the nominee.

So to the extent that voters are waiting for queues from the Republican establishment elected leaders and leading candidates, they will not be supporting Donald Trump.

On the other hand, while Cruz is opposed by the inside the beltway establishment crowd because he has drawn attention to their corruption and their betrayal of their constituents, the larger Republican electorate appears to like him just fine. Cruz may not be these people's first choice in most cases, but no candidate is this year. And while the leaders of the Republican party are not big fans, they are comfortable with his platform, they do not regard him as crude and uncouth, and they know he would be accepted around the world as someone who is not an embarrassment to our country and the Republican party, except to the extent that he continues to shine the light on these people's self-serving acts of corruption.

Given the choice between these two candidates, the Republican establishment types are clearly supportive of Ted Cruz.

I've been saying for a while now Trump is in trouble, and now Silver backs up my opinion.
