"National Review Conservatives stand against Trump"

The republican voters will decide. As far as I'm concerned, there is plenty of room under the tent for Trump.

It doesn't help small businesses. It's all about cheap labor, classism and rigging the market. Libertarians are essentially classical liberals. We had classical liberalism domestically 1865-1930, really from the 1600's. We know what it looked like. It only worked as good as it did because we were a monocultural society, with tariffs and not free trade.

It would be poetic Justice to do to Trump supporters what they did to Romney...stay home. Face it, the people who are for Trump only are responsible for President Obama, just like they'll be responsible for President Hillary.

well within context, President Obama isnt a republican so he couldnt destroy the republican party from the inside.

B ut out of context, what do you mean where was the passion, did you fall asleep for the last 7 years, right wing media has been all over the president.

What a joke! these cry babies (notice Rush DIDN'T join the group) are mad that Trump is beating their guy Ted Cruz like a Mexican Piñata and they don't like it and its desperation time. Cruz loses Iowa he is done!

They didn't say anything for 6 months but now that reality is sinking in and their guy Cruz is not going to beat Trump they comeout with their drive by piece.

What are they going to do when Trump wins the nomination....boycott the convention? pull a Jada Pinkett Smith?

This shows how of touch the GOP establishment is. Just about every attack on Trump has backfired on his critics and has fueled Trump's rise in the polls..and the Trump train rolls on to victory!

National Review people have no power of their own. Like the panelists on Fox News and CNN, they derive their power by who they know who actually has power. A businessman does nothing for them in their job. He is not a source of inside information like a Senator and his staff, for example.

If they are based in DC, they'll "root for" someone on Capitol Hill, someone who was on Capitol Hill, someone who headed a national group, someone who has held office in the NY - DC corridor where the national news media operates, a relative of a former president, someone they worked for in the past because those are the people they have an "in" with/see at events. It's not what you know but who you know.

For example, there's a reason why most people don't know the name of the governor of North Dakota whose state had the lowest unemployment rate throughout the recession. I contend it's because the people in the national news media don't get anything out of talking to him/having him on their show. Do you really think someone like Representative Peter King (NY), for example, is all that important? He's on TV all of the time...because he's a politician in NY/DC where the national news media is located.

Let's say Trump becomes President. What does, for example, Charles Krauthammer, George Will, Karl Rove, Rich Lowery, Jonah Goldberg get out of it? After 8 years of Obama, they see their chance to have an "in" with the White House flying out the window.

The years between 1865 and 1930 weren't exactly good ones. We had numerous booms and busts leading up to the Great Depression.

35% of Republican voters isn't the majority of the American population.
