Well, it looks like mother nature is planning to cast her vote in the Iowa caucuses on Monday, as a significant snowstorm is forecast to blow into Iowa on Monday night. This can be expected to separate the committed supporters from the fair weather fans.

Snowstorm to unfold as thousands gather for Iowa Caucuses

A winter storm moving in from the Intermountain West is likely to cause snow to spread over a large part of the central and northern Plains during Monday night and Tuesday.

The voting prospects weather-wise could become precarious before the close of the caucuses because of the incoming storm system, AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Matt Rinde stated. Snow and a wintry mix will arrive in part of the state during Monday night.

"Enough snow and a wintry mix can occur to make roads slippery in the southern third of Iowa as people are heading home from the Caucuses," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.
People have been wondering if the waves of traditionally unlikely voters will show up to support Donald Trump in Iowa, and elsewhere for that matter. But the question that now needs to be asked, will they brave a snowstorm for him on a Monday night, to go out and publicly state their support for him in front of their friends and neighbors.

Stay tuned.

This also has a bit of a cheap fiction theme to it, like a novel that starts out, "It was a dark and stormy night...." Just saying.

Candidates with strong ground campaigns already have plans for how to 'get out the vote' during bad weather. Volunteers for ride sharing and such to ensure their voters don't stay home due to bad weather.

I don't know, the older folks seem to be pretty determined, if they aren't snowed in and can get to their cars...

Seems like it is heading to the "population" center in Iowa (Des Moinse), means the younger people get affected more.

Cruz for sure. But Clinton? She does not have much enthusiasm for her campaign at all. Then again, she has lots of money, so she can purchase these services outright if she likes. Do you have some reason to believe she has done that in Iowa?

Sounds like any real weather will hold off until after Trump wins.

People waited for several hours in the snow and freezing cold in numerous states just to see a Trump rally. I don't know why they wouldn't do the same for actual voting.
