As someone who values academic and intellectual integrity, I could never support a serial plagiarist, even IF I agreed with him on the issues.
Rand is a scumbag.
I will pray for a Rand Paul vs. Joe Biden general election match up to see you pull out your hair. :0 Joe's pretty hard core, too. Yeah, I know, we have a better chance of winning a $1.5 billion Powerball twice with the same numbers.
Libertarian economic principles are based on the concept of free market
Free Markets. To survive and to flourish, individuals need to engage in economic activity. The right to property entails the right to exchange property by mutual agreement. Free markets are the economic system of free individuals, and they are necessary to create wealth. Libertarians believe that people will be both freer and more prosperous if government intervention in people’s economic choices is minimized.
Libertarian principles, if used correctly, will NOT just benefit elite white folks like some here suggested. Boy.
If used currently being the key words. If it isn't, it's a race to the bottom and a way to ruin countries.
I like his stand on most issues, but for some reason he reminds me of a rebellious teenager, not really a leader.
and like it or not, he appears to be pretty thin skinned, just like Trump; not good for the leader of the free world. When he boycotted the debate cause he didn't like the tier he belonged in, that really hurt him. At least Trump made use of the time by rallying around he vets.

Actually - it didn't hurt him - he got more publicity from the media than he would have gotten if he had participated.
My son just talked to his friend in Iowa who is helping with the Paul campaign. The news stations are all forecasting a blizzard for tonight which has got the elderly all concerned. All the candidates headquarters have been receiving calls all day concerning if they are going to reschedule the caucus. The actual prediction is like 4" of snow - but like always the media making more of it than it's suppose to be.
Tom also said that they just completed a 2 tier poll. Many people when they registered gave their cell phone numbers. A poll calling landlines - still had Trump in the lead at 33%, followed by Cruz at 31%, but the cell phone poll - had Paul in the lead at 27% followed by Trump with 17% and Cruz with 16% - so that is giving them hope that Paul will end up making a good showing. I've said all along that it will be the millennials who will make the difference.

He has pitted himself against the Military Industrial Complex and he cannot win that fight. Eisenhower warned us all about letting the MIC get too powerful, and we ignored him.
I like Rand Paul, and would vote for him if by some miracle he won the Republican nomination.
But I don't support him at this time because, while I think he's the best of the bunch in both major parties, I think he could be better with a few more years of seasoning.
I see this as a wasted election because there is no doubt in my mind that we are going to see at least four years of gridlock regardless of who the next President is. I'd rather let the chips fall where they may this time around and support an older, wiser Rand Paul four or eight years from now.

I understand, but why is it that he clearly is the most reasonable candidate to vote from.
Ever see him during interviews? The guy can speak off the cuff about what he believes without hesitation. This shows that he is a sincere candidate.
I just don't get it. I'm really losing faith in the American people.
He is too smart and makes too much sense. When he speaks, most people (the average voters / viewers of the debates) don't understand what he is saying. Also, much of what he says is the truth and the average voters don't want to hear that. They don't want to hear that the US was busy arming Bin Laden to fight the USSR and they don't want to hear that the US is now arming Al Q'aeda to fight ISIS. All they care about is " 'Murica, **** yeah" and carpet bombing the middle east. Geneva convention? 99% of the voters couldn't tell you what that is.
We did pick Iraq, Syria, Libya.......they did nothing to us. In reality Afghanistan did nothing to us. Yet, here it is, going on 15 years later with OBL long dead and we are still there. Why?
Because you need control of the oil, natural gas, preciousness metals and non-metallic minerals in Central Asia to maintain your Standard of Living.
