To that end, we hope Senator Obama will join Senator Clinton for a debate a week beginning this weekend. I'm sure we can find a suitable place to meet on the campaign trail. There's too much at stake and the issues facing the country are too grave to deny voters the opportunity to see the candidates up close.

My question, Sen. Obama, is which path will you choose? The Politically expedient path or the Right path? We all understand that it is more politically expedient for you to refuse the debate offers because you are far weaker than she is in the debates. The right path is for you to take, however, is to allow us to see you speak, one-on-one with Hillary about your differences so that WE the American people can make an educated decision.

Obama gains nothing from continuing to debate. He's flush with cash, why give Hillary free tv time.
Obama can now choose whether to debate her or not. The more the people meet him the more they are inclined to vote for him and therefore he needs to go to people directly. Why waste time in debating her(in which she is good), instead he should just go directly to the people---he is good one on one and in crowds.
Fight when and where you have the most chance of success. Why should he fight on her ground.
This is just stupid, she was the most powerful candidate when it all started. She had the money, she had the Bill clinton machine, all the crowd and most of the mayors(and their machine) supported her and she and her 35 year experience hasn't been able to knock this two term senator out.

I, and many millions of Americans like myself, are skeptical of his desire to avoid facing her one-on-one because it isn't politically wise to do so. He is going to have to, if elected, sit down, one-on-one, with the leaders of Iran, N. Korea, Russia, etc. If he is scared to sit down and have a chat with Hillary, what can we expect of him if he became President?
I agree with Sen. Obama. It's time to give Americans the kind of campaign they deserve. A good start would be by answering the questions asked of you and state in a clear way what you will do and how you will do that, face to face, with Americans all over the country. Dodging debates and refusing to tackle the issues, is the same old politics. Let's change that!

Future presidents sit down and talk with leaders of foreign nations and not with some senator of newyork. She had the money, she had the Bill clinton machine, all the crowd and most of the mayors(and their machine) supported her and she and her 35 year experience hasn't been able to knock this two term senator out.

Yes. Let's replace debating with preaching. Leaders that preach are good. Like the clerics do in Iran.

Is THAT how he's going to get things done? By NOT talking to Senators? Last I checked you can have all the ideas in the world but if you can't manage to get the Senate behind you, those ideas aren't going anywhere.

Too bad the demographics of the entire country don't mirror Obama's "base" support of wealthy white liberals and blacks. He'd have it in the bag for sure then!
