Cruz wants Carly Fiorina included in the Republican debate on ABC Saturday night. She is the only one left that would be excluded by ABC, as Paul, Santorum and Huckabee dropped out this week.

Is it a coincidence that ABC wants to exclude the only Republican woman in the field this year? That very surely should not be ruled out as ABC's motivation here.

Cruz calls for Fiorina to be in Saturday's debate

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is calling for rival Carly Fiorina to be included in the GOP debate Saturday night.

“I would encourage the organizers of the debate to put Carly Fiorina there. She deserves to be there,” the Texas senator told reporters on Thursday, according to Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel.

Fiorina responded by thanking Cruz for the support.
.@tedcruz, thanks for standing for the fair debate the American people deserve!
— Carly Fiorina (@CarlyFiorina) February 4, 2016
The debate, hosted by ABC News, is the last one before the Feb. 9 New Hampshire primary. It is also the first debate this year to not include an undercard contest.

Cruz's PAC (the one with Glenn Beck connections) gave her a half a million, he owns her. She was once on my short list, now she's dead to me.

She's the only one left out now that the other undercards have dropped out. Let her in to this (OMG!) Saturday GOP debate.

38% Donald Trump
17% Ted Cruz
12% Marco Rubio
9% Ben Carson
5% Jeb Bush
3% Rand Paul (out)
3% John Kasich (out)
3% Chris Christie
2% Carly Fiorina
1% Mike Huckabee (out)
1% Rick Santorum (out)
0% Jim Gilmore (out)

Well, it wouldn't be a choice if he owes her? If I were him, I wouldn't waste my time thinking about a VP choice. Someone will wipe the floor with him. One reaps what they sow and his number is coming up!

Either he wants to pat her on the back or he has a little surprise for her like he had for Carson in the Iowa caucus.

I guess now he is going to start making the decisions on the debate, so I guess everyone that was critical of Trump for the same behavior needs to jump on the bandwagon about this and shoot Cruz down for thinking he is all that. Of course, Cruz is one of the "anointed" ones.

Cruz is either:

A) Scared of a smaller field due to the scandal going on
B) Seeking Fiorina's endorsement

Santorum is now campaigning for Rubio
and Huckabee is in the Trump camp.
Cruz needs an exiting contender's support.

It's really obvious. And no, Carly should not be in the debate.

He needs her as a shield from the attack Trump is about to unleash.

The rules were set up before Iowa. They had no idea which undercards would drop out after Iowa. It could just as easily have been Rand Paul who was the only one excluded.

More like designated Hillary Clinton attack dog. She would be about the best media surrogate that Cruz could possibly get in a general election contest. Fiorina would drive Hillrod positively up the wall.

Probably she could expect a cabinet position.

Interesting. I would like to see that connection. I didn't realize there was a Beck SuperPac for Cruz. I look forward to finding out more about it. Thanks!
