While I certainly respect Carson's character and demeanor, he simply isn't presidential material. When I watch him in the debatesi oftentimes wonder if he takes naps in between being called on or is on some type of sedative - either way he looks completely out of it. Moreover, for him to complain about not getting enough speaking time during the debates is comical - the entire premise of a debate is to engage in a substanative back-and-forth conversation, not sit there half-awake waiting to be called on like Carson.
He certainly gives the appearance of one who had taken sedatives before his debate this week-end. The backstage confusion; the half-lidded eyes; slow speech. I believe sedatives could be involved.
Wouldn't be the first (or the last) time a doctor dipped his hand into the candy jar and helped himself.
I think the visual of Carson standing there in the wings at last night's debate looking confused as every other candidate literally blew by him was a perfect metaphor for his candidacy.
My take away from that moment was a bit different.
What I saw was a bunch of Aholes laughing to themselves at his confusion and then blowing by him without further concern. Not exactly the type of qualities on display that I want to see in a president. Only Trump stopped and spoke with him - a big enough guy to have a (kind?) word at his awkward moment.
It was ironic in that most if not all of those guys are running for the POTUS for themselves, not for we the people...
The "Spa" picture of Carson with Jesus, that he had made and proudly displays in his house removed him from any classification as a serious contender.
Was Carson EVER a serious contender? That dude had no chance whatsoever from the beginning and all the money people spent on him could've been better used in finding a cure for some disease instead.
You know how in a real horse race there's like 10 horses that make up the field, but really there's only three or four or five that actually have an actual real chance of winning the race and the rest are fillers? Carson is part of the filler for the field, just like Rand Paul and Hucklebee were except that Carson's horse is a little bit stronger and hence can keep up with the leaders of the pack for a little while more before inevitably it will run out of steam and fade away.
Seriously I don't know why Carson ever thought he had a chance.
