Cool. I'm looking forward to and hope that prophecy comes true.

I guess people can vote for politicians who have been extremely effective in making themselves and their cronies fabulously wealthy on the backs of working families. More of the same works for some people but not for me.

I would rather see Sanders get elected and be ineffectual, than see someone like Cruz, Rubio, Trump, etc., get elected and be highly effective.

I don't understand pride in sociopathic behavior, but I reckon this isn't the philosophy forum.

Agreed. The American Revolution was suppose to fail because England was way too powerful. When there is a need for change there is a time for change.

Heck, I'm just now catching up with this new attitude in our country. I'm becoming current, hip. I'm joining the Gimme crowd. Free college, free healthcare, free housing, free phones, free internet. Gimme is all the rage these days.

Well, 'stupid American voters' (trademark: Gruber) elected Obama twice, so apparently they WANTED a wider wealth gap.

America’s wealth gap between middle-income and upper-income families is widest on record | Pew Research Center

Now, Bernie wants to add a new financial transaction tax to workers' and retirees' pension plans and retirement accounts ($27 trillion worth), which, of course, are invested in the very same financial assets that would be taxed upon transactions.Stupid idea.

But how much do you want to bet 'stupid American voters' will vote for Bernie anyway? /SMH

What is your solution outside of condemning the one being honest?

You are full of it. You are the one who injected the deficit into the convo.

Further, more than 65% of Federal spending goes to Social Security, Unemployment, Medicare, Health Care and all the other Entitlement programs.

Taxes are not the only way to reduce deficits. And, even if I believe the proposed costs of new freebies that he's proposing, the taxes he plans to raise would only cover that, not the existing deficit.

But, as I said, that was not the topic of this thread and if that's what you want to discuss I'm sure there is already a thread on that or you can start a new one.

Obama is a Quisling as are almost all politicians. Once in a while you can find a politicisn that has principles but very, very rarely. Almost all are in politics to line their own pockets and those of their cronies. Changing direction will take lots of time and lots of hard work, but voting for more of the same will simply net more of the same.

Rand Paul was laughed out of the Republican race. Just shows you how much the Republican Establishment is interested in reversing the direction of wealth from working families to the Billionaire Class. The only ones in the race that have been actively advocating change have been Paul. Sander's, Fiorina, and sometimes Trump though it appears Trump seems to feel more in the nativist camp, which for me is silly. The Oligarchy is the issue not hard working people working for peanuts.

Paul and Bernie have a history and voting record of voting for principle. I vote for principled people not politicians.

I absolutely CANNOT get on board with Sanders and his proposal to add a new tax to American workers' pension plans and retirement accounts. No way. No how.

Given what you state above (in bold), you should feel the same way.
