Hillary Clinton = old age + having suffered concussion + evil + self-serving.

Regarding age, Reagan was almost 78 when he left office. Trump and Hillary are both about the same age as Reagan was when elected. I wouldn't want a President to be much older than that, which means that Bernie would likely have to be a one-term President.
We can't compare ourselves to those countries, they are small in both size and population. Maybe while you are comparing us to those countries you should do some investigating about how socialism is working in some more industrialized countries?

We do not know that, anymore than we know if Hillary really had a concussion or something else when she was hospitalized? Do you think we always get the truth about the health of our top politicians?

Germany has 82 million people. Add countries in Scandinavia, Netherlands, Switzerland etc. They are all doing well and have lots of people. Its not really a population issue. The US is a very rich country and has a lot of advantages that these countries dont have.

I know a lot of people in their 40s that are less healthy than people in their 80s. They are having heart attacks and getting terminal cancers. And, frankly, the people I have met and known well in their 80s were sharper than a lot of people less than 50.

Frankly, all I see here is a dig against Bernie. Forget it. Bernie is sharp, intelligent, has integrity and patriotism and I say this with Bernie as my 2nd choice, Trump being 1st.

Look at Rubio and Cruz, two "wacko birds". Yes, they may be younger but, so what? That hardly qualifies them for being what our country needs and actually, takes away from it.

I live in Kansas and have lived in snowbird areas probably meeting and knowing more people 70 plus than possibly anyone here on the forum. I grew up in a small neighborhood in MI as a child surrounded by grandparents of all the neighbors.

Look at Kennedy, did being young benefit him? That can happen to any candidate.

I have been extremely impressed with Bernie. I think he could easily do 4 years as POTUS and then, depending on how he is doing in 4 years, maybe another 4.

I have longevity in my family, way back into the 1800s when lots of people died at younger ages. In my family, we stay mentally and physically healthy until the end. I suspect that someone that doesn't understand how to stay healthy, both mentally and physically, can't imagine retaining that throughout their lifetime.

I encourage anyone that supports or considers supporting an older candidate not let age be the deciding factor in your choice. Our country is in such bad shape that we need someone that watched as the US slide into its present state, has life experience, intelligence, patriotism and integrity. If it is Bernie or Trump, I support your decision of "outside the box".

82 million is a long, long way from 330 million. And the fact that we are so much larger than any of those countries geographically is a challenge, as well.

I am married to a person Bernie's age. He moves rocks, lifts 60 pound bags a concrete mix and walks at least 5 miles a day. He is as mentally aware as he was at 50. He still has a part time job.

OTOH, I had angioplasty at 52.

Age is a number and an attitude. A family member taught university nuclear chemistry until he was 82. Another is running product through pipelines all over the country at 74. Some cannot bend over to tie their own shoes. It is a lifetime of habits.

I'd trust Bernie with my checkbook. Can't say that for Rubio or Cruz.

It is an issue for me. It's definitely one of the reasons I can't get behind Bernie.

Very large geography doesnt seem to be a reason stopping Canada or Australia from having universal healthcare.

I believe America is an aspiring nation and can create a national health care system like any other nation.
