Just questioning, can Donald Trump, or any GOP candidate for the matter reverse the gay marriage law? They are all saying they can. Not trying to start a political debate here, but IMO reversing it would be a big step backwards for the country which is why I am supporting Bernie for president.

Homosexual marriage, the oxymoron that it is, isn't an important issue for this election for most Americans. However, if President Trump appoints a couple of Supreme Court Justices, well, you may want to start worrying.

I love that joke.

Trump could appoint two Kim Davis clones, the Supreme Court isn't reversing that law anytime soon. Right-wingers will have to find some soft sand to pound on.

Kasich, who said he supports it, will find out in the South, that will cost him dearly. I think New Hampshire was Kasich's high point. The South will NOT support Kasich.

The POTUS, no matter who it is, cannot "reverse" laws.

We don't need a conservative Supreme Court. Why these people have a lifetime appointment is ridiculous. You get life in jail and its 22 years. How can these people stay on the job in their 70s and 80s ? Makes no sense...

Trump is not a Right Winger OR a Left Winger. He's dead-center/common-sense. And he's got too much class to seriously oppose Gay Marriage. He's not a Wing Nut, and that's why both wings and the Mainstream Media hate him. He voices the opinions of normal, non-crazy/non-extremist Americans - and that's why so many of us are so excited by the possibility of his presidency.

Don't worry. He'll be a wonderful president for ALL Americans.

I agree, very good post.^^^

The only one that has come out in a crazy fashion about gay marriage is Cruz. Cruz forgets that we are a diverse nation and the POTUS is to represent ALL Americans.

Only a POTUS that thinks that scapegoating actually works would pursue gay marriage with a vengeance and such a person would need to be feared because, as we know, first it is one group that is responsible for all the problems and then, when eliminating them and finding that didn't make it better, they go on to choose another group until that "holier than thou" person stands alone.

Trump is a man of the world and knows how to evaluate what makes a difference in the big picture and what doesn't. The mark of a leader. Trump 2016!

There is no gay marriage (same sex) law.

This is a huge misconception. So there is nothing that Trump can eliminate.

What did happen is the US Supreme court has said that it is unconstitutional for the states and the federal government to create laws that prevent or restrict same sex marriage. The only way to change it now is to amend the US Constitution and that is never going to happen.
