Trump is correct to say that George W. Bush did not keep us safe. Ask the 3,000 who died on 9/11 if George W. Bush kept them safe.

I agree completely. What happened under his watch is the opposite of keeping us safe.

The 9/11 hijackers entered the country under Clinton's nose, the same guy who let Bin Laden escape because he was too busy porking overweight interns and sexually assaulting women who had the misfortune of being alone in the same room with him.

No one person can be blamed for what is an unprecedented act of terrorism. Can you say the American People would have tolerated the security measures we now have in place without a viable threat that they can see??? I don't think so, even now Americans chafe at the policies and procedures they must endure in the name as safety. Ultimately the President is responsible for what happens on his watch but is hindsight and arm chair quarterbacking really a true reflection of what could have been done?

Once again Trump is the only one brave enough to call it like he (and most of us) see it !

Bush was awful, but really does anyone expect a president or the inept self serving fed govt to "keep us safe"?
In fact it would seem decades of foreign policy objectives such as nation building, aggression, occupation and targeted assassination have made US citizens collectively less safe.

Please keep your 'most of us' to yourself. Trump is on record as loving Pelosi, saying Bill and Hillary Clinton are fabulous, holding all of the most liberal positions, being a Democrat, funding Dem priorities and campaigns...4 bankruptcies, three wives, he helped ruin Atlantic City. If you are looking for a loud mouth not connected to a working brain, Trump is your man.

Reality shows are not reality, and Trump is a reality show.

Valid points. I just give Trump credit for calling out Jeb in a debate were the crowd was still pro George W. Bush.

Bush might not be totally responsible for 9/11 but he and his administration are wholeheartedly responsible for the Iraq war which destabilized the region and cost the lives of thousands of soldiers. Today the entire mess in the Middle East and ISIS can be partly blamed on Bush. Obama and Clinton have to take responsibility for Libya.

I think that by having George Bush campaign for Jeb Bush, that it will actually hurt both Jeb and the Republican party. It will only go to reinforce the political establishment and memories of an administration that was not very popular as well as one that we all want to forget.
