Donald Trump wants to 'open up' libel laws so he can sue press - Feb. 26, 2016

As the author of the article duly noted, there are no Federal laws concerning libel, only state laws. The article speaks of an old US Supreme Court case that essentially ruled that one must prove 'actual malice' in reporting untruthful information about an individual, a pretty high hurdle (as it should be, see the First Amendment language).

No doubt the supporters of Mr. Trump believe that this is a fine idea. After all, everyone wants to win lots of money.
He ALSO said that he will legislate all stores into saying Merry Christmas and force them to have Christmas trees.

Oh, and churches should continue to maintain their tax exempt status AND be able to insert themselves into the political process.

Well, if you double down on the Second Amendment, you can just throw away the First Amendment.

I guess when we stopped teaching History in schools we lost the lesson about the importance of a free press in protecting our freedoms.

Trump talks about being strong, but always running to court with lawsuits is sort of the hallmark of a p***y, isn't it?

He went to Wharton, where they teach you how to make money, not protect the Constitution.

Too bad.
Work with that Muslim, terrorist, traitor, coward, liar, phony, racist-against-whites, con artist Communist?
Why should they?
Why should they work with a game show host/real estate developer?

You really should stop getting all your news from WND and Rush.

What a despicable racist remark! If you knew anything about my background, you would realize that you just made an A$$ of yourself.

It's very clear that you can't see it in yourself.

The Republican establishment party is the democratic party.

Trump is the new WE THE PEOPLE party.

The democratic party is now the socialist party.

Not at all, you're the one spouting off about all the unsubstantiated and ignorant accusations of Obama. If you don't like his politics, you don't like his policies, if you don't think he's done a good job, then by the US Constitution, you have a right to say whatever you want without fear of government reprisal. You're free to make the most ridiculous arguments you wish and I'd be the first guy to defend your right to say it. But I didn't hear any substantiated arguments in your post, and I'm just as free to express my opinion of your sensationalized statements. And, don't come back with the standard quip calling me an Obama kiss a$$, or a liberal, I never voted for the guy, but my reasons had nothing to do with his race, his religion, his family, or his mannerisms, he didn't convince me that he was the man to fix a broken country, however a majority of voters felt differently, twice. Love you buddy.

That's funny, I thought the main difference between Sanders and Trump is that Sanders was actually elected to public office has legislative experience. That, and the fact Bernie is a gentleman and Donald clearly is not.
