I find it interesting that the first Enquirer-worthy story implies Rubio is gay. Shouldn't the gay rights people jump on this as an attempt to demean homosexuality by making it appear that implying that someone is gay is "a scandal"?

I see what you mean. It's so much more presidential than that !!! After all if we can encourage more kids to drink we are going to be better off. Nothing wrong with it mom!!! The President did it too. It should be legal.
If he is gay or bisexual it's legal so why not come out with it. No one will look down on him for it. All quite acceptable today
Why does this matter? Because if details like this are real, that could leave the Commander-in-Chief open to blackmail. It is essential that the American people know everything about candidates running for President. This bombshell report could change everything.
If we could turn back the clock 15, or 20 years ago,and Rubio was in a presidential race, this issue would do him in very fast,but in today's social climate, I would bet any of the candidates could openly admit they are gay, or fooled around when younger, and the response would be, "who cares".
It is the times we live in, and not many (except the Cruz followers) really care who is, and who isn't gay.
