I am not making excuses for Byrd. He died with that mark of shame, but he did ask for forgiveness many times.
And Trump disavowed Duke's endorsement.

So why are we even talking about this?

Because on a 1991 interview with Larry King on CNN Donald Trump called David Duke a racist during his campaign for Governor of Louisiana and now claims he never heard of him. He just wants to get the White racist vote on Tuesday as another member pointed out earlier. I just saw a brief video of that 1991 interview on TV. There are other Trump quotes as recent as 2000 mentioning Duke. I wrote in other posts that I do not think Trump supports White Supremacist groups. However, he is using his marketing skills to win votes in a very distasteful manner.

Nope.

And the lib media doesn't even ask her about them or the other racists and bigots that the Democrats support and have supported...

-- Al Sharpton the Jew-baiter responsible for the Crown Heights Riots and racist murder of a Jew

-- Louis Farrakhan who openly hates whites and Jews

-- BLM that calls for the murder of police officers

They killed a lot of whites, too.

Their very first target was white Republicans.

Me, too.

Whites are such a big threat to other groups.

Oh wait, they're not.

Exactly.

Are the liberals done making a mountain out of a molehill yet?

Trump disavowed Duke's endorsement.

Nothing to see here, folks -- except Trump brilliantly taking over the news cycle yet again while "Little Marco" and "Ted the Liar and Cheat" fade into well-deserved oblivion.

LOL

Are you sure Duke said he is not a white nationalist? He has been a lifelong committed white nationalist and critic of what he calls "Jewish supremacists", although he at least makes a distinction between them and "good Jews". He's about as racist as Obama's Rev. Wright, who rails against white oppressors but is willing to accept that some whites are OK. Duke and Wright are cut from the same cloth. If America can handle having a president who attended and financially supported Wright's church for 20 years, it ought to be able to handle one who failed to instantly disavow Duke.

Well, Democrats typically send out flyers to blacks saying that if they fail to turn out and vote for the Democrats, lynchings will start up again.

This happens election after election.

Politics is a blood sport.

Democrats are in no position to criticize Trump on this score.

I think they are referring to some flyers handed out 2 years ago, but the above posts are twisting the words and their meaning. The flyers said that Blacks needed to vote so their rights wouldn't be taken way. They were from a non-profit group to help get out the vote. Right-wing sources misreported their intent. It was a list of reasons people need to vote in an election.

The specific one with an image of a lynching was placed on windshields near a church in Fayetteville, NC to remind Black voters about the injustices of the past when Blacks were lynched. Dramatic, yes. But nobody was threatened with lynchings.

Where does it say it was from the Democratic committee or approved by any candidate? I mean, were those robocalls made by White Supremacist groups in support of Donald Trump approved by Trump or the RNC? It just says to vote. Unfortunately there is an image of a lynching, so I agree it was in poor taste.
