Trump is smart. Its tough to say that, because I am not a fan of the man. But he makes deals. Its what he does. And if he were to have Cruz or even Rubio as a VP, it would not only cement the primary, but would do very significant things to the final election as well.

I must admit, he's playing people, emotions, and the GOP. And its a incredible balancing act. I don't believe its by chance.

Romney didn't pick Santorum, Obama didn't pick Hillary. It just doesn't work like that anymore, they need someone they can trust. It's doubtful Cruz would settle for number two, he'd undermine Trump anyway. Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska will fall in line, he doesn't need Cruz for that. Rubio wouldn't do much to cement the base, but he would be more of a team player. It wouldn't sway Cruz's supporters, they hate Rubio like they hate Trump. Does Rubio bringing Minn into play count for much, I don't know.

Cruz is not a match for trump. He's too opinionated for one and disliked by many.

It would be like a horrible marriage.

The wife thinks that she's way smarter than the husband, and that the husband spends way too much money and never goes to church. The wife also thinks he says inappropriate things that embarrasses her. She thinks he's a ******* in bad disguise. She thinks that his jaundiced raccoon looks is so 1970's. She resents being called a Canadian - she gave up her citizenship long, long time ago . . . .15 months ago!!!!

The husband thinks the wife is a real Bible Thumper and a liar. No one likes her! She thinks she's a genius but she hasn't done anything in the real world. The husband is sure the wife is going to kill him one day to become the head of the household. The wife is always sneaking around, trying to trick their black naive, pious neighbor who's awfully proud of his hands. The wife thinks that the husband, on the other hand (pun intended), has stubby fingers which he is overly sensitive about (she also says that it's true what they say about guys with small hands). He thinks that the wife is butt ugly and pompous. He complains that the wife opens her legs only to conceive; no more casual sodomy like there used to be while dating.

The parallels are amazing.
