Based on what? Your paranoia? Look, you posted a mistaken thread. Verify first next time.

Yes. In Chicago they have the Decalogue Society, the Advocates, the Justinian Society and the Cook County Bar -- all of them are ethnic lawyer associations. "La Raza" is a term of art. In the lawyer association context it means "us".

Probably because the class action lawyer (Bill Lerach) for the plaintiffs was convicted of a felony and disbarred.

Trying to follow the trail .. it appears that Robbins and Geller were partners of Lerach, and, after Lerach was convicted and disbarred Judge Curiel appointed them to pick up where Lerach had left off.

Judges do not appoint class action lawsuit lawyers. Lerach was disbarred in 2009. The Cohen vs Trimp was filed on 10/18/2013 by Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, and Judge Curiel was assigned to the case on 10/22/2013.

I find this kinda telling:

Rightwing shenanigans with Hillary? Asking a former secretary of State to please comply with a possible breach of national security issues with her Email and the extreme obfuscation from her highness..and you consider those "shenanigans"?

From the "Trump University Litigation Administrator" website, for those who qualify to sign up for the class action suit...

16. Do I have a lawyer in these cases?

The Court decided that the law firms of Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP and Zeldes Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, both from San Diego, California, are qualified to represent you and all Class Members. These firms are called “Class Counsel.â€

Cohen v Trump - Frequently Asked Questions

(emphasis mine)

"The instant suit is related to Makaeff v. Trump University LLC, a proposed class action that was filed in California federal court in April 2010 and alleged 10 causes of action under state consumer protection statutes and common law. In February of this year, a judge certified a class including all persons in California, New York and Florida who hadn't received a full refund after paying for the live events."

"In addition to certifying the class, Judge Curiel on Friday appointed Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP and Zeldes Haeggquist & Eck LLP as class counsel."

Apparently judges can appoint the lawyers.

No actual proof of that. The Trump bullying tactics and hysteria are really becoming "old and annoying" to an increasing number of Americans. He can't and won't dodge accountability forever. Defrauding senior citizens is nothing to be proud of, even if you make money from it! Some of the extreme high pressure tactics against senior citizens by Trump University are alarming. But let us attack the ethnic pride of a Latino judge (born in Indiana) to deflect from Trump's responsibility to Americans as a candidate for the highest office in the USA. The public is wise to him now and expects straight answers.

I strongly encourage people to consider Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate, as Hilary also has negative factors (email-gate, Benghazi). This may be our best chance to send a strong message to the two major parties that have become too corrupt and ineffective.

He's a judge. A big part of being a judge is upholding the law.

That's silly. Using your logic, any school that accepts an undocumented citizen as a student automatically is for illegal immigration.

The judge could be giving out scholarships based on merits instead of citizenship.

Again, silly argument.

There are plenty of American citizens who received scholarships. It's not like they have been shut out of the process.

Attending Trump University seminars and expecting to become an overnight success is akin to going to Beyonce's voice and singing school and then expecting to land a recording contract with a music label.

Even if Donald Trump personally taught/instructed each individual seminar by himself - there's nothing you could learn from him that you couldn't learn yourself
From city-data's real-estate or economic forums. Nothing.

The only thing Donald Trump could help you with - is possibly some strong words of encouragement/positive reinforcement.

Conversely -- As a Trump supporter, I have to seriously wonder why a multi-bilionare would fool around selling steaks, ties, water, and real-estate seminars. Maybe 5,10, or possibly 25 million at tops - seems like a mega hassle for a few more shekels.

It's ironic that Trump can list off the failures of Clinton (Email server, Benghazi) but seems to have completely forgotten his failures/bankruptcies, failed board games, failed casinos, fail professional football leagues, failed condos, failed real estate universities.

Keep his hands off my country. Keep him away from my military. Keep him away from the Nuclear Triad. The guy needs to stay on CBNC reality TV. Period.
