How can Cruz claim to be honest when at least half of his speech was filled with lies and disgusting to listen to.

Trump took questions and was very gracious towards other candidates with only a small remark against Rubio.

Cruz is so nasty and if he feels he can win this way than he has to go back to Harvard and take a course how to get along with others in REAL life as he has no support from major political names. They dislike him so much and now I understand why!

Be honest though, Trump has said plenty of nasty things as well.

There was always something about Cruz I couldn't put my finger on that caused me to be repulsed by him.

I do have the answer for you as to why Cruz claims to be honest, he is a compulsive liar like Hillary. They come to believe their own lies. Cruz seems to be suffering from the combination of narcissism combined with religion, not a good mix since the two are contrary to each other. In religion, God is number one.

Cruz also has psychologists that tell him how to act. He comes across to me as a religious nut who's becoming more and more hawkish. There was a time when people thought he'd be too libertarian to win anything lol.

Nasty I have no problem with, toe to toe lets go. But the lying is ridiculous, he has really turned me off.

I like the fact that Cruz is a Constitutionalist, but as someone that politically sit in the middle, Cruz leans way too far to the right for me. He would appeal to more people, and even more Republicans, if he became more moderate.

I wanted to say that I was impressed with Trumps speech last night. It was great to see him cut out the spiel, and rhetoric, and deliver a good speech. He needs to show this side of himself more often.

Cruz came off like a douche bag last night in his speech. So fake and corny.

I was also impressed with Trump last night. Well done.

As I noted in another thread (about how wonderful Canadian Cruz is!), Senator Rafael Edward Cruz has little to crow about in 'winning' his home state of Texas.

In prior Texas Republican primaries:

2000: George W. Bush, the former Governor of Texas, won 87.5 percent of the vote.

In 2004: President Bush won 92.5 percent.

In 2008, Senator McCain of Arizona squeaked by with 51.2 percent.

In 2012, Mitt Romney won 69 percent.

Yesterday? The sitting United States Senator from Texas, Rafael Edward Cruz, born in Canada, won 43.7 percent of the vote.

Rafael Edward Cruz, born in Canada, is in trouble, since he cannot carry even 50 percent of the vote in his own state.
