Exactly. In smaller, more intimate settings, Clinton can better explain substantive policy details - which is her strength.

Do Bernie supporters ever think about how we would pay for all of his social services like free college education, etc? We have about 19 trillion in debt right now.

And he's against fracking, which has allowed us to become energy independent of the Middle East.

Reduction of war spending. We already spend the money, we just waste it on the MIC.

Bernie Sanders appeals to the young, ideological crowd. I used to be that crowd 50 years ago. And like Bernie, we had great visions of utopia but didn't have a clue as to how to accomplish them. That's Bernie. All frosting, no cake.

I heard that the cost to pay for public colleges in the US would be as much as the US government funds private colleges. Whether that's true or not I don't know. Think starting to offer free community college is a start and hopefully can work towards free higher public education.

I don't think Bernie is really advocating the country becoming a utopia. I'm a boomer also and never really believed in democratic socialism when I was younger. I still don't agree with some of Bernie's socialist proposals. But I've supported him through this election cycle and have given money to his campaign several times in the past year. To me personally, he is the most inspiring candidate of this cycle and I truly believe in his integrity and honesty. He's been incredibly consistent in his message through the years. The reason I've supported him is that I really believe his idea of getting big money out of politics and giving the country back to the people; to restore true democracy. That's why, even as a senior citizen, I was hoping that maybe he'd be able to squeak through and get the nomination.

But as many of us believe, Hillary will be many times better than Trump. I personally will not vote third-party or stay home but will hold my nose as i vote for Hillary. I'll do my small part to hopefully keep Trump away from the presidency.

I think this sums it up rather well what you're saying:

"If You Are Not a Liberal at 25, You Have No Heart. If You Are Not a Conservative at 35 You Have No Brain."

With that said, I hope bernie wins CA. Not that I am a socialist fan as I think it's not rational to trust a gov to run more parts of our lives when it's largely bought off/corrupt.........even bernie admits this yet wants to trust our gov to a much larger degree.....figure that one out!.......but more the view that I think hillary is one of the most lying/corrupt/morally bankrupt individuals in politics.

If you have any extra clothespins to hold my nose shut, I could use one as I'll be doing the same. Below is the average Clinton voter.

So after you used to support public funding of elections, banning for-profit prisons and 2 weeks of paid vacation for all workers, basically supporting the US joining the rest of the civilized world that did all of this decades ago, you now have become "non-utopian"? Its all about supporting perpetual warfare in the Middle East, corporate welfare and let Wall Street run the economy and big pharma and insurance companies run the health care system?

Sanders is crushing Hillary among people under 40 and among people who grew up with alternative media. Supporting a corrupt system of campaign finance where the billionaire class can buy and sell politicians and laugh in the face of the voters is not something to be proud of, and people will not suddenly start to support massive political corruption as they move into their 50s. People who grew up with the internet are far more difficult to brainwash for the corporate media, and thats what we are seeing.
