and to swear their support for him.

"Let's do a pledge. Who likes me in this room?" Trump asked the crowd. "I've never done this before. Can I have a pledge? A swearing? Raise your right hand."

The Republican front-runner then had the audience repeat after him.

"I do solemnly swear that I, no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, if there are hurricanes or whatever, will vote on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for President."

Did anyone see this or think it was a little bizarre?

No. That morning in Kansas he asked them to raise their hand if they were registered to vote then told them to get in their cars and meet him at the caucus location. At other rallies he's told supporters to get out and vote for him even if their wife just left them or they are on their deathbed. The crowd laughs. Trump uses exaggeration/hyperbole a lot to make a point

He's desperate. He's probably afraid they will change their minds and that those Cubanos in Miami will vote for Cruz or Rubio.

People in FL are already getting these robocalls, I wonder how many people with Cuban heritage are receiving them LOL, maybe their efforts are counterproductive.

White supremacists: Don’t vote Cuban, vote for Donald Trump

I don't see anything sinister in it. It's marketing. He's a salesman. There are those who will buy it, and those who will see it for what it is. Anyway, it's at his rallies. He's preaching to the choir.

It was a joke. Loosen up. People were laughing. How many of these campaign-ending episodes do we have to go through?

Oh--a joke. Yeah--funny. I'm sure if Obama asked for a pledge or oath to himself, everyone would think it is hysterical--I cannot even imagine the names he would be called by those attending the Trump rally.

Trump becomes more Hitleresque and fascistic by the day, and he is terrifying and revolting people--not making them laugh.
