The last poll out of Texas was from SurveyUSA, taken on Feb 27:

Hillary 44%
Trump 47%

SurveyUSA Election Poll #22701

If Hillary and Trump are the nominees, will Texas be in play?

Everywhere is in play when there is a possibility of fraud.

doesn't make any difference who the nominees are, the sheer size of Texas makes them a player. I am not talking sq miles, but population.

Nope...not a chance in hell. Nobody in Texas with half a brain would think so either.

Eventually, if they keep letting enough illegal aliens in our country, it will definitely be and will go blue but not in the near future.

I think it will be. Trump will suppress the conservative turn out. Many right leaning independents and some Republicans will vote for Hillary as the devil they know, ie, vote against Trump.

Yes. And you're forgetting the 1000 pound elephant in the room: the Hispanic vote, whom Trump referred to as rapists and murderers.

I guess the question is, "In how many areas are illegals considered a plus?" With Hillary as POTUS you can expect amnesty down the road at a cost of $6.3 trillion to taxpayers and at the present time illegals run taxpayers at least $13 billion a year.

A lot of people like those illegal drugs flowing across the border and the exploitable labor......... Is it too late to save TX from the invasion? If so, I guess they could either way.

Trump = the only presidential candidate in the race who was found guilty and fined for hiring illegal aliens. Currently employs illegal alien labor to this day.

'Nuff said.

You'd think immigration would be a hot topic in Texas but Trump didn't win hardly any county along the border or even inland, so I don't know where these angry ranchers that are constantly on TV complaining about the coyotes went?

It doesn't matter. What matters is who will be most serious about getting rid of them and keeping them out. Trump is the only serious candidate on this issue.
