Sanders, if elected, would have a huge mandate and I can see him really going after Congress to pay attention to what American people want.

Can see him schooling them on every issue and fighting for the people.

Dude, I think Bernie is awesome but he would get nothing done with this Congress. None of his ideas would be implemented. Obama couldn't pass anything after the Democrats lost the House in 2010, and Bernie is far left of Obama. In fact, even if the Democrats had control of the House and had a filibuster-proof Senate, I can see how many Democrats would balk at some of the stuff Bernie is proposing.

That's a 100% certainty and a sad reality. Sorry.

Hillary wouldn't do much better, however.

Mick

The only way Sanders could get any of his agenda passed is the {D}s to take over both the house and the senate. Other then that he would be the lamest one term president in history.

Just think he is the only one in this election that doesn't have a hidden agenda. Isn't it possible, that with enough support, he could overturn the GOP held congress in gridlock and make progress? See that more with him than Clinton.

How do you think Trump or Cruz would fare with Congress? They hate them almost as much as they hate the thought of a Dem in office.

Bernie does not have the support you think he does. He can't even beat Clinton who has more baggage then a air liner.

How much of that has to do with the fact that the media gave all the attention to Clinton. The Dem's also have a superdelegate system that distorts the real will of the voters, and was designed to suppress grassroots candidates.

Yes, imagine him putting his finger up in the air 5,000 times and not getting a peep out.

The "hidden" part of his agenda is that its just a big lie to get votes, he knows he can't accomplish most of what he says his platform is. We need to stop pretending that some elected politician thats been in office for close to 40 years with no seriously major accomplishments can suddenly wave some magic wand and cure all of our problems with education and health care. His track record doesn't show the slightest hint of that being a realistic scenario, and his proposals for some of these things are just way out of the realm of reality. Nothing more than nicely polished sound bytes to trade votes for unrealistic promises about giving you free stuff.

Clinton will get stuff done. But what will the compromises be? What will the end legislation look like?

Will there be true bipartisan legislation that helps America? Or just legislation/bills that are pigs with lipstick on them?

At this point. Who knows.

Well, great; he IS a good talker.

But where is that mandate? Democratic voting is down and Bernie isn't winning the popular vote - at least yet. Where is the mandate that is going to give him the magical power to accomplish his goals?
