In deciding who to vote for, I've moved back and forth between candidates. I was a Bernie supporter, but I don't see how our country can afford his social programs and with his recent statement on raising taxes on the middle class, I don't see how I can support him. Trump is dangerous and I worry that he will start World War III if he gets elected. Cruz is a little better when it comes to constitutional principles, but I can't support the theocratic baggage that comes with it. That leaves Hillary. I don't like her and wouldn't vote for her if there was a better option. I worry about her personal integrity. However, given the other choices, she seems like the safest candidate. I think for the time being, continuing Obama's policies is our best bet.

Do you think Hillary will pretty much be a continuation of Obama or will she be any different?

Without a doubt she will be the same, except she will be more hawkish with regards to meddling in international affairs, and will be less favorable towards Muslims and less racist towards whites. She will also not fuel the anti-white, slum rhetoric that Obama has championed as such a uniter (LOL!).

Personal integrity? Forget about it.
Honesty? Nope.
Respect for laws? Nada.
Beholden to her masters? Definitely
Continuing the out of control growth of our govt? 100% Guaranteed!

--------------------------

Let me challenge you to look at the election a different way...

The two biggest problems we are facing as a nation are illegal immigration and size of govt. We cannot continue to spend like we do and must reduce the size of our government. Not doing so will speed us towards the end of our great nation...period.

Likewise, illegal aliens are pouring in. They have no respect for our laws, culture, and do not wish to assimilate. The southern border states are all but lost because of this. Eventually, we will either give them citizenship or they will demand it. They will do so without respecting what it means to assimilate and be a citizen of the USA, and therefore will fundamentally change our identity as a nation.

I personally would vote based primarily on who I think will best address those primary concerns. Needless to say, it ain't Hillary!

Different...

She and Bill are DC insiders with lots of connections and lots of IOUs they'll be able to leverage.

Obama went there with none of that.

Let's take her at her word. She'll be Obama's third term...unless she's just saying that to stay out of prison.

You mean to leverage for dastardly deeds and things that benefit them and not the country?

It will be 3rd Obama term with added bonus that Bill Clinton & Anthony Wiener will be haunting the White House as well. Fathers - don't let your daughter intern there if the King is elected.

There is one exception. Hillary will make sure the White House is tastefully decorated again. That horrible junk that Michelle Obama put in there will be sent to the trash heap.

Our country can't afford to go backwards with the likes of Trump, Cruz, Rubio or Kasich. They are certainly good at preaching less government in our lives all the while trying to shove their religious beliefs and agendas down our throats.

Bernie may have a heart of gold but no one is going to work with a socialist. Every time I see him on TV I expect to hear "The Age of Aquarius". An old hippie who got into the game too late. Although his intentions may be good they aren't going to work in the real world. His followers are dreamers. That's nice, but we can't afford to sleep anymore.

Hillary is our best bet. She is known and can work both sides of the aisle. I would rather have her calm, no-nonsense hand on the red button than Trump's. Foreign leaders will work with her. They already know her. She has a level head and doesn't make rosy promises that she can't keep, which may hurt her campaign-wise but I'd rather have someone who doesn't spew meaningless drivel to get my vote than the golden fleecing of the Republican party.

NO candidate is perfect and no matter who you choose, someone is going to hate your choice and insult them in the most juvenile, ridiculous way possible, and maybe you too for choosing them. But it's still a better system than what they have in most other countries and it does, in it's own small way, evolve over time.

Sure.

Bought and paid for politicians do Wall Street's bidding. Doesn't matter which party they belong. That IS the point for not electing her.

Absolutely! But, for the same reason, they're not going to let a rogue candidate upset their comfy relationship with government. Regardless of what Trump claims he'll do, he is still largely bound by congress.

Oh, so btw, the oligarchs will back Hillary over Trump, a lot more predictable.

I think "pretty much" is about right.

It's hard to tell specifically what she'll do in some cases because she changes her positions so much. An example is trade agreements. She's for them, she's against them, she's for them again, currently she's against them again (campaigning in Michigan), so who knows? It's not like Bernie where you know that he won't support trade agreements. On the other hand, there are some core issues where Hillary won't change, such as supporting pro-choice Supreme Court justices.

I also think she might turn out to have difficulty working with congress, like Obama. Part of that will be because she will receive a lot of ideological opposition from the republicans (much of it unfair) and part of it will be because I think she has a tendency to dig in. Supposedly that is not true, but that's how I read her personality, especially if she's in charge. We'll see.
