Tax the remittance payments that Mexicans send back home, or "surcharge" them. It's so simple, I have no idea why you geniuses can't figure it out. So many ways you can get Mexico to directly or indirectly pay for the damn wall. This isnt rocket science guys...

WOW! Where'd ya get the Donny to English secret decoder ring?

And if worse comes to worse he can always consult with the geniuses who got Iraq to pay for our invasion/occupation with their oil revenues, eh?

OH! WAIT!

The American taxpayers got stuck with that bill, didn't they?

Trump replied, again, with non-answers. “I’m sorry to press on this,” Woodward said, “but how would you grab [Mexico’s] money? If they say ‘No,’ would you be willing to go to war to pay for this wall?”

Trump told Woodward to “trust [him], when I rejuvenate our military, Mexico won’t be ‘playing’ war with us — that I can tell you.”
This is so not true, I saw this interview on Morning Joe today. Woodward asked Trump how he was going to make Mexico to pay for the wall, Trump said there were many ways to make Mexico pay for the wall and pointed 5 of them out.

Woodward said that Trump's method would not work, pushed and pushed as it wasn't the answer he was looking for, he then asked Trump, if he was willing to go to war with Mexico to build the wall, Trump then said he was going to build a strong military where Mexico is not going to play war with the USA.

Never ever did Trump suggest/say he was going to war with Mexico to build a war, please.

Do you think before typing? I wasn't aware that Trump was in office at the time of the Iraq war. He's been saying that oil should have paid for the war as far back as the beginning. Why do you think he is hated, he might actually do what he says.

Keep in mind that Mexico already paid for a wall on thier border...thier southern border to keep people from El Salvadore out. Why the outrage if we want to build on?

Simple. Trump sends a couple of Marine Regiments to Mexico and they surrender.

Now we own Mexico. No more border. How is that for simple, clean outcome.

The Mexicans would mostly love it.

Trump go to war?

You're kidding, right?

He'd expect other peoples' sons and daughters to go to war fighting for his cockamamie schemes.
