That's great and he's still in jail.

I saw that too. I'm glad there's still some decent people out there who don't excuse this type of behavior.

I'm starting to think these "supporters" may be planted by Trump's rivals. They certainly have the money and motive to make Trump's real supporters look like Klansman or racist...or its just passion

Except that Trump didn't say that. He said this instead at a specific event.
"So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of 'em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise."
Quite different that what you state. Critically thinking adults can figure out that he was joking.

Well, he has also said (at other rallies):

"I'd like to punch him in the face, I'll tell ya," he said of a protester on Feb. 22.

"Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing." (November 21)

‘In the good ol’ days, they’d have knocked him out of seat so fast.’ (February 27)

I won't even bother to include the comment that he could shoot someone and his cult would still be loyal to him. The dude insulted his supporters right to their faces, and you know what they did? Cheered like zoo animals.

Keep lying to yourself about Trump not encouraging violence, but I don't think its the rest of us who lack the ability to think critically.

What does that have to do with with I said?

Trump has not stated that he will pay the legal fees for anyone who attacks any protester as the OP states. And since you are quoting Trump, I take note that you don't mention that he has endlessly told people to not to hurt these idiots as they are removed from his events. Why is that?

You are attempting to debunk the notion that Trump encourages violent behavior at his rallies by pointing out statements that he has made. On the contrary, there are dozens of statements made by Trump that DO encourage violence, which I pointed out in my post. It's disingenuous at best, dangerous at worst.

Do you honestly not see how that pertains to what you have said?

It seems like the Trumpian response to criticism is to assault it (protesters and minorities), insult it (Meghan Kelly, Rubio, Obama, Cruz, etc.), or pretend to be completely ignorant of it (the KKK).

The police did the only thing they could in the moment: arrest the black man who was struck by the old white man.*

Irony does not translate well to print. My wife and I were shocked that the police immediately targeted the victim. I was being ironic. If you decide to 'cut and paste' my remarks, please include this explanation I have provided for those supporters whom Trump loves best.

The guy who punched the young man is representative of the clowns who voted in the GOP in NC. TEA party members who now have higher tax payouts then ever before and are told by the GOP they need to approve a 2 billion dollar infrastructure bill. Why you ask? Well the GOP gave the top earners in the state a 2.3 billion dollar tax cut. Now they can push normal maintenance onto the next Generation which has not been born yet.

GOP politicians pay for nothing, only their supporters, never their financial backers.
