you see the ties to the Clinton machine.. and you see lifelong Democrats
who do not perceive Bernie to be "one of their own".

They want to be rewarded.
Hillary loves handing out rewards.
So in other words, you think that superdelegates should ignore the will of the people as judged by pledged delegates and popular vote, and vote for Bernie instead?

Aside from the fact that the entire argument is ridiculous. Only one of them will be on the ticket in November and outside of the confines of places like this forum, the vast majority of Democratic/Democratic-leaning Independents have made it clear that they will vote for whichever candidate the Democrats nominate.

Sweeping? What the floors? Don't you realize that the dems have already performed the coronation of Sir Hillary?

Yes, but Bernie brings in Independents in a way Hillary does not-which IMO makes him a much stronger candidate in the general election.

I think people often forget that there are now more Independents in this country than registered Democrats (or Republicans for that matter). (42%, 29%, 26% respectively)

I hope not

What I am thinking is that the Voters are tired of business as usual politicians. This means NO MORE CLINTONS AND NO MORE BUSHES

Trump, the Outsider, looks to have a lock on the nomination. If he wins the big states next Tuesday, that is pretty much it.

Clinton's Campaign is taking visions of Al Gore. He was a supposed shoo-in for the Presidency, and he rode this over confidence all the way to defeat. Clinton may be doing more of the same. Maybe Voters do not want a politician in office?

One thing is for certain, if Sanders wins I would certainly support Trump. And I am a registered democrat!

People really need to look at what will happen to this country if Sanders is elected and gets his ideas through. Poverty will be rampant, investments and business will grind to a halt, and the recession of the 200's will be something great by comparison.

Disclaimer... I'm very skeptical about going "socialist" but I have to admit I would have a sick satifaction of seeing the entitlement carpet pulled beneath Hillary's feet! + devil horns

p.s. I chuckled about 4 minutes in what the guy said how Trump will enjoy riding around in Air Force One and wearing a bomber jacket if he's elected.

Bernie can't win, he's the other establishment candidate.

Here's a guy who IMO posted a sexist, even misogynist event on the Sanders website called "Bern the Witch." So aside from the questionable judgement of a campaign that was fine leaving that event up on the official campaign page, this is what the guy who created the event had to say.

Quote:
Despite his firm support for Sanders, he would stand With Her against a Republican opponent. “I think clear minded people should unite to defeat the most dangerous candidate,” he says, whether that’s Trump or Cruz. He sees little relish in such a vote “we’re not for hillary clinton,” he says of himself and supporters like him, “even if we vote for her [to beat] Trump.”
"Bern the Witch" Sanders Supporter Speaks Out

So yeah, I'm not losing sleep over the idea that Independents won't vote for Hillary. Sure, some won't, but you can't control everything. As I said before, most Democratic or Democratic-leaning voters will vote for Hillary or Bernie, regardless of which one they support in the primary. They know the differences between Bernie and Hillary are a sliver, vs. the chasm between the two of them and every Republican candidate, particularly Trump.
