So I can write in Ron Paul on my ballot in November.

mods: I know this isn't really an election thread, but we all need to lighten up once in a while.

I wish we could write people in (or write at all) where I am. I wasn't pleased to see that Mike Gravel wasn't on our ballot.

Better practice up. Wouldn't want to slip and just draw a happy face by mistake.

Don't worry. After addressing all the enveloped I have recently, I won't misspell his name.

That's what I've been doing all weekend. Installed a new dishwasher and helped with a garbage disposal. Bought the wood for my new baseboards and door trim - replacing lead based painted wood from 1948. Spent some money on new paint and supplies. And my partner ordered nearly $2000 worth of new carpet to match his new dishwasher and disposal. Saw the Sharpies at Home Depot and decided I needed one.

He did. I didn't. I put mine on a Home Depot card. I'll pay it back next month after my next project without paying interest on it.

Yeah, this is definitely home improvement time, right before garden time, LOL. I've been shopping the clearance sales and getting some great deals on things I need. I have to call this week to have my central air/heat system cleaned and checked in preparation for warmer weather but I think I'm going to buy a window air conditioner for my bedroom and swamp (evaporative) air cooler to cut down on my CAH use and save money.

Anyone here use a swamp cooler? I've been reading up on them and think it's just the ticket!

I envy you. It never gets warm enough up here in eastern Washington for such things. All people talk about is pellet stoves and space heaters.

And down booties.
