In other news, Tamakuri Nukaga, a 52-year old shoe salesman from Saitama, Japan, publicly announced his prediction on the primaries. "Huckabee looks poised to take the evangelist southern states," Nukaga predicted, "but McCain's strong draw nationwide among the 65 and older demographic should be the defining factor in this race." Nukaga went on to say that Hillary, "Will have a hard time connecting with the soccer mom demographic, but should really connect among unmarried women."

Do they not realize that there's another party they can support? Last I checked, McCain was a white guy.

Well, let's think about this. Off the top of my head I can think of JFK, McKinley and Lincoln as Presidents who were assassintated. I know there are one or two others- Chester Arthur?

Then there were attempts on Truman (PR nationalists), Ford (twice), Reagan (deranged nut who came close), and Clinton (another nut with an AK-47). Throw in Bobby Kennedy (Sirhan Sirhan) as someone who came close to the White House.

The point being that predicting assassanation is not exactly going out on a limb. In any case, the woman is a twit.

Perhaps Lessing was only echoing Michelle Obama's concern for Barack's safety. Michelle Obama is not stupid. This informative article was posted in another thread.
Clip:
"She worried, too, about his safety. She was told that if any threats against his life were made, the Secret Service and the campaign would bolster his protection. In the end, she decided to support his run.

I have talked this with some American friends, and we all agreed that Obama will have at least one assassination attempt if he wins the Presidency.

Remember, we're all GLOBAL now and even the British have the right to speak about any country they choose just like the arrogant Americans.
Yeah, and Yassar Arafat got the Nobel peace prize.

The recipient of this year's Nobel Prize in Literature, Doris Lessing, said in an interview published over the weekend that the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States were not "that terrible"..."Some Americans will think I'm crazy," she said in the interview published Sunday. "Many people died, two prominent buildings fell, but it was neither as terrible nor as extraordinary as they think. They're a very naïve people, or they pretend to be."
