And environmental activists are being murdered in Honduras while politicians in the US pay lip service to the realities of climate change, while supporting nationless and parasitic corporations that do the most damage-and the military and police in those countries that murder the activists.

Berta Carceres-who last year won the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize-was assassinated, shot and killed- less than two weeks ago. Her colleague, Nelson Garcia, was murdered two days ago.

"Given that state control is often attained through violence, a few more figures become relevant. One hundred one environmental activists were killed in Honduras between 2010 and 2014, making it the most dangerous country anywhere in which to try to defend the Earth."

I am really sick to my stomach the more I read about these events.

This is really sad what's happening over there, and it speaks volumes to her role as secretary of state. And makes you worry about her potential power as president.
Maybe you should devote some of that energy to studying the 1980s when we propped up every two bit dictator from Argentina to San Salvador to Lebanon, to Manila, etc. and our weapons killed thousands of civilians, including some priests.

Live and learn. We should not continue to be involved in such conflicts without the UN or other nations and the only side we should choose is peace.

^ Obviously nobody has "lived and learned" in our Government-NOTHING HAS CHANGED. This is going on TODAY people. Our "political leaders" do the bidding of nationless and parasitic corporations that exploit people, governments and the environment across the globe!

The military forces that carried out the RECENT coup of Honduras' Democratically elected leader were TRAINED IN GEORGIA, USA-At the old " US Army School for the Americas". It has been the same thing over and over-Chile, Argentina, Nicaragua, Honduras, etc.

Clinton supporters cover their ears and eyes for such reports and they are just determined to vote for her. They can't care less even if Hillary committed murder. They just want her to win.

what was the case? You believe the state department helped the military? We merely recognized the elections that occurred afterwards as official. There were protests for and against the coup in Honduras.

The military forces that overthrew the Democratically elected leader in Honduras were trained at The School of the Americas (in Georgia) like many other terrorist groups used to overthrow sovereign leaders in South and Central America through the support of the US Government-and the Multi-National Corporations that own it. It's really more despicable meddling in the affairs of foreign nations by our corporately owned and controlled Government-of which Hillary plays a massive part of. Most citizens in Honduras claim that the two subsequent elections were anything but "free and fair", and many still recognize Zelaya as the President. His only crime was helping his people and lowering the rate of poverty.

"The violence in Honduras can be traced to a history of U.S. economic and political meddling, including Clinton’s support of the coup. Although the coup was supported by the United States, it was opposed by the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS).

Hillary Clinton was probably the most important actor in supporting the coup [against the democratically elected Zelaya] in Honduras.
And so if it weren’t for Hillary Clinton, “basically there wouldn’t be this refugee crisis from Honduras at the level that it is today. And Hondurans would be living a very different reality from the tragic one they are living right now.”
In her book Hard Choices, Clinton admitted she helped ensure that Zelaya would not be returned to the presidency.

Hillary Clinton played a huge role in propping up the coup administration. The State Department ensured the coup administration would remain in place through negotiations that they imposed, against the OAS’ wish, and through continuing to provide aid and continuing to recognize the coup administration.
When he was deposed, Zelaya was attempting to get a nonbinding resolution on the ballot asking voters whether they wished to reform the constitution. He supported a 60 percent hike in the minimum wage and this infuriated two U.S. companies, Chiquita Brands International (formerly United Fruit) and Dole Food Company.
Zelaya put in place several liberal policies, including free education and meals for children, subsidies to small farmers, lower interest rates and free electricity.
Honduras enjoyed a nearly 10 percent decline in the poverty level. But these same policies were seen as a dire threat to the hegemony and bottom lines of global corporations and as a precedent that would alter policies throughout Latin America and much of the rest of the world.

Corporate leaders demanded that the CIA take out this democratically elected president. It did."

Our foreign policy is only about protecting the interests of multi-national corporations. This has been proven time and time again-in Chile, Nicaragua, Argentina, Iraq, Vietnam, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria-the list goes on and on.

It's disgusting and there is absolutely no justification for it. To really get a better understanding of our Government and how they control foreign nations for the benefit of the nationless corporations/banks that own it-read "The Shock Doctrine" by Naomi Klein and "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins.

The Free Pass that Hillary gets from the Wall Street controlled MSM, and the hapless Bernie Sanders expires once Trump is nominated.

He will take her apart like a roasted chicken at Sunday dinner.

Americans will be reminded at what they get, if the put the Clintons back into the White House, this time with the added bonus of the Anthony Weiner family.
