Due to the presence of superdelegates, the Democratic Party bosses are able to exercise far more control over the presidential nomination process when compared to their counterparts in the Republican Party. That is why Sanders has zero chance of winning the Democratic nomination: because the Democratic Party bosses know that an admitted socialist would be crushed in the general election. (Before any die-hard Sanders supporter tells me that polls show him beating all his potential GOP rivals, I should point out that such polls are meaningless, given that the GOP has spent virtually zero resources attacking him.)

Should Trump get the nomination in 2016 and lose in a landslide, do you folks believe that the GOP will institute superdelegates (in time for their 2020 nomination process)? I personally believe that the GOP will indeed have superdelegates beginning in 2020 (so as to prevent another Trump-like disaster from happening). I honestly think that the GOP should have had superdelegates in place already; however, complacency set-in, since the "establishment" favorite always won the nomination from 1968 - 2012.
