I looked at different websites. None of them match each other on delegates awarded.
Last night, right before the CNN townhall, Trump said the recount was done. He had just been told he won Missouri (by more than what was announced primary night.) I wanted to see, with that adjustment made, who has how many delegates as of right now.
All I want to know is what website is most reliable for a delegate awarded count as of the minute I check it. Does each party have a reliable site for that info?
As I post this:
Real Clear Politics, Politico, Washington Post, Bloomberg says:
*Note: This 538 site says it was updated at 6:00P last night, around the same time Trump said he got the Missouri final count. But can it be that 4 major results sites haven't bothered to update or is the Silver site wrong? You'll note that the total delegates awarded to the 3 current candidates on the 538 site show more delegates in total awarded than the other sets so it's more than a distribution issue.
I have my own thread on here in which I try to keep track, best site I have found is the Green Papers. They tend to be a bit quicker with some of the updates than the other sites
I listed Politico but I don't know if it's accurate/up to date. I was hoping each party had some website. Since this election could be a squeaker, I'd like to know what count they recognize.
But, they don't match Nate Silver's website. They say:
Trump 752
R Cruz 464
J Kasich 144
They give Cruz an extra delegate than Silver.
But if they are accurate, that means CNN, Bloomberg, AP, Washington Post, Real Clear Politics, Politico are putting out garbage and they are the sites most people go to.
^That could be because thegreenpapers makes constant updates to the delegate counts based on changes from each of the states. I'm guessing that Silver doesn't keep up with it to that extent.

Looking at it now Green Papers and Silver have the exact same numbers. Trump 752, Cruz 463
. As far as CNN, Politico, RCP, AP, etc, they tend to be more careful with their updates. By that I mean hold off on awarding some of the delegates until the races are certified on some of the closes races, or waiting on official numbers from the state. They also seem to wait a bit more when it comes down to awarding the delegates by Congressional District (which isn't always easy to tell until the state releases them) where Green papers will delve a bit deeper into it, extrapolate County level results or even Precinct level results when available. In some cases this causes Green Papers to be off a couple delegates here and there when they make the initial projections for the delegate count, but as a general rule probably gives a clearer picture of where things stand than the sites that are holding off on updating the delegates until they have a clearer picture.
Okay, I'm going with you guys, Green Papers it is. Thanks.
