Then the argument works the other way around too, eh?
While "Independents" who would have voted for Obama but not Hillary are constantly harped on by the news, I've heard many - especially women - say they would vote for Hillary but not Obama. Much of it may be a "private" thing for women as well. They'd vote in the booth for Hillary, and tell fire breathing Republican husband they voted McCain.
It's one of the criticisms of the caucuses, that people don't get that "private moment" to defy the peer pressure around them.

Without any real evidence to back up this speculation, I don't take much out of this thought.
Although I'd agree with your last part, that I hope caucuses are done away with after this year. It's a terrible way to conduct a vote.
See, so it's an exercise in futility to wonder what swing voters will do. ESPECIALLY given that it will still be a swing state game, no matter the wishful thinking that Republicans in Idaho are going to stay at home and let their state "go blue."
Because it's not like they'll be motivated by, say, fear of Democratic Supreme Court nominees, gun control, or abortion.

I've only got my independently voting mother to backup my assertion. And the group of women she works with in her office, so yes it's all conjecture. My mother isn't a politics junky. Quite the opposite. I use her opinion as a barometer for "the nation." Her opinions tend to follow the trend of "mainstream" opinions about political events, so I ask her, "who are the women voting for in your office?" Hillary. "What about Obama?" He's too inexperienced, and I think the whole Hussein thing is going to get in the way for him.

My mother, an apolitical Bush voter, will vote for Obama but not Clinton, although I'd probably be able to get her to vote for Clinton if it comes down to it. not that it matters though, since I'm in Illinois, and a Republican doesn't stand a chance in hell of winning this state.
But I guess my mom cancels out your mom, and the absurdity of these arguments continues.
Must not have offices where you live! This is just a person sitting in the office with a cuban flag hangin in the back. It's no big deal at all as the person that occupies that space might be from cuba. If obama gave a speech with that flag behind him then it would be a serious problem or if he had the flag at his office in capitol hill the same would apply. Next time do some analysis b4 jumping into conclusion
