I could hold my nose and vote for Cruz in the general election, which is not something I could do if Trump is the nominee. If it means Trump will not be the nominee, I want the brokered convention, and if Cruz ends up winning it I can live with it.

Nobody likes him, not even his own party! His extreme religiosity is his biggest flaw. Cruz's big success in Wisconsin was a measure of the anti-Trump movement; not pro-Cruzalishiousness.
As a raving, heathen Socialist, I'm happy about his victory in Wisconsin. May there be more! Ultimately, the sensible centrists who vote in the General Election won't touch a stink-bomb like Cruz, who might as well be Palin in man-clothes.
It's quite telling that the regular posters here are silent on Bernie's win last night.

It's the case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Nobody really wants Cruz. Over 52% voted against Cruz in Wisconsin. So he can't be the nominee. GOP is using Cruz to stop Trump. Haley/Rubio is what the GOP wants.

Only those who don't know him.

I don't think even Cruz likes himself.

I think the GOP wants to parachute Paul Ryan into their nomination.

And that would be beautiful. Deny the nomination to the clear frontrunner and give it away to some slug who isn't even running and has a grand total of zero primary votes.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
