NYC is diverse so why Clintons live in lily white Chappaqua? (votes, democrat)

Many areas near NYC are well below 50% white, but the Clintons decided to live in Chappaqua which is 91% white and ranks 42nd in median household income. Why do they avoid living near less wealthy and minorities when their speeches would suggest otherwise?
Because they can afford it and because they prefer to live there. What is the makeup of your own neighborhood ? If you are so concerned about "blending" maybe you should set an example and move into one that will show you are leading the way.
I don't think too many people can throw stones at the Clintons for their involvement in helping minorities. People of color love them because they know they have looked out for them and tried to promote equality .
Let's face it, the Clintons could move into a neighborhood that was 90% black and some people would say they should have moved into one that was 95% black.

Don
LOL I do live in a very diverse neighborhood. Would rather live in a whiter area, though. I'm honest about that. You can bet the Clintons wouldn't admit that. They could easily have rented a place in the city at Trump Tower and nobody would blame them, but they did some kind of laser search for the whitest area around where they could avoid NYC tax too.
. . . . . I bet you million dollars that none of Mr. Trump, Sen. Cruz, Gov. Kasich or Sen. Sanders live in a ghetto, oops, I mean, a highly diverse and integrated neighborhood.
I mean, look at how Bernie fled from highly diverse Brooklyn to lily white Vermont! The entire state looks like snow from space! Why, why, why? This exercise is silly, eh?

Easy Answer = They want the votes of brown & black people. They don't want to live near them.
Clinton opened an office in Harlem good man...did he move the office?
He only opened in Harlem after a hue and cry that he was ignoring blacks by wanting to lease on W. 57th in Midtown:
"Harlem had not been the former president’s first choice. In February 2001, Mr. Clinton abandoned his plans to move into a skyscraper in Midtown after he was criticized for his decision to rent office space at one of Manhattan’s most lavish office towers. He had planned to rent the 56th floor of Carnegie Hall Tower for $738,700 a year, compared with the $210,000 asking rent in 2001 for the space in Harlem."
And even that didn't last. 2011:
"The William J. Clinton Foundation is moving most of its offices from Harlem to 77 Water Street in the financial district, in Lower Manhattan. But Mr. Clinton will keep a toehold in Harlem: his office as a former president will remain on the top floor of 55 West 125th Street."
