RICHMOND — Nearly a third of Virginia Republicans will vote for Hillary Clinton, pick a third-party candidate or sit out the election if Donald Trump is the GOP’s nominee for president, a new poll finds.
Quote:
“There’s a sizable distaste for Trump among Virginia Republican voters,” Rachel Bitecofer, director of the Wason Center Survey Research Lab, said in a written statement. “Almost a third would defect or stay home in November. A solid third like the idea of stopping him in July by giving the nomination to another candidate in a brokered convention. This adds up to a real advantage for Clinton in purple Virginia.”

Nothing we didn't know already. Trump will be a disaster for the GOP if he gets the nomination. Of course, he and his supporters know this - their goal has always been to elect Hillary and blow up the Republican party. Many of Trump's biggest advocates inflicted Obama on us and are actually Democrats.

It's time for the GOP to concentrate on 2020, which should be an easy election to win after Hilary's first term and 12 years of failure from Democrats. There also need to be rules put in place to prevent independent liberals like Trump from running as Republicans.

Sanders supporters are saying the same thing about Hillary. Might make for an interesting election for a decent third party candidate.

Watch the (D)'s and (R)'s try and shut them out of the debates.

That's one of the great things left about our country, you can vote for which ever candidate you want, belong to any political party you want, etc. Best reason to vote for Trump 2016 since he will help protect the freedoms that we have left.

On the flip side, if Trump doesn't get the nomination, you'll see GOP senators and reps also lose seats as people are fed up with the dirty tricks the party has been pulling trying to control the elections. If the GOP doesn't want to listen to the people, fine, but when many go, they leave all the GOP candidates behind them.

Another Pravda on the Potomac gem ...

Remind us which GOP candidate won Virginia ?

Newsflash - if the GOP doesn't move more to the center, they will never win another election.

I'm confident this phenomenon won't be limited to Virginia, either. Trump will do worse than Ross Perot.

Now for the other side of the story.

When GOP leadership and elites decided to cannibalize the party they set up and cemented the current division which will last long after the election is over. They decided they were best qualified to make the decision who will be the nominee not the voters. Those willing to sacrifice the good of the country for what they think is in the good of the party have lined up behind them like good little ducks. Mama leads and the blind stay in line and follow.

To protect their conservative ego's they reject all attempts to grow the party and likely will never again be a serious contender in presidential elections. Certainly they will have to grow and change to become a contender. That means they have to change their platform in a way to attract membership. Even they know this and have had years to do it. They have been unable or unwilling to expand. Once again leadership is the problem and little duckies are left out of the water, dying on the bank.
They have become the most effective with a membership drive to grow the opposite party. The democrats best friend and they are even willing to vote for Hillary under the right conditions.
GOP=LOSERS and they like it that way. They are making it a tradition.

Trump supporters are completely clueless. They fail to comprehend that Trump is turning solidly red states like UTAH and MISSISSIPPI into potential swing states if it comes down to Trump vs Hillary.

Mississippi poll: Hillary Clinton within 3 points of Donald Trump - POLITICO
Quote:
Despite winning Mississippi's Republican presidential primary by double digits, Donald Trump could turn Mississippi blue for the first time in 40 years, according to a Mason-Dixon poll released Tuesday.
I am convinced more than ever that Trump is a Democrat plant designed to sink the GOP's chances in 2016. And if he hands the Dems control of Congress ... well the more the merrier.

It was 35.7% Trump to 31.9% Rubio. We are a purple state and it was a squeaker. Most of the Republicans in my area at the last area meeting said they will not vote for Trump, even if it means voting for Hillary. I predict the Libertarian Party will do the best they ever have this election if Trump is the GOP nominee, and in more states than just Virginia.

Just proves party politics are full of crap. Not that we needed any proof of this.
