To think that people have been claiming that the GOP plays dirty in elections . . . . you mocked, but look at y'all now. Do you think this is their first time? Nah.

yeah like the Democrat party plays everything clean and straight.....LMAO!
Sounds to me like it's a simple case of Trump not knowing what he's doing.
Because, as in sports and other things, it isn't just how many people are cheering you on, it is also how well you play the game. Otherwise, no one would lose home games.
Trump is not Republican. He's a johnny come lately usurper who doesn't understand the established rules and procedures and who thinks the quarterback should be decided by the fans.

It's all a waste of time. If Trump gets anywhere near 1237, the party regulars will require 1500 delegates to get nominated. It's fixed. Cruz, Sanders, and Trump have no chance at being president.
Trump could have beaten Hillary if the party got out of his way on March 15 and rallied around him. Too late now. They dropped the ball again.
Hillary has no enthusiasm behind her. She will be president by default. It will be Clinton vs. Haley or Ryan. No one will show up and Hillary will win.
The 1237 delegates needed to win the nomination was set well before the start of the 2016 campaign, and hasn't changed at all. And no, Trump would never have beaten Clinton " if the party got out of his way on March 15 and rallied around him" because his personality, his style, his promises, and his ignorance repels so many voters.

The rules for 2016 will be written after all the states have already voted. It's like that to prevent what happened this year. The voters made a mistake by voting for Trump or Cruz. They really meant to vote for Jeb Bush or Paul Ryan. That's why we have delegates. The Delegates are much smarter than the voters. They know to keep the convention deadlocked until they can give the nomination to an establishment Republican. Thank God for delegates and superdelegates. They protect us. Can you imagine a general election between Sanders and Cruz or Trump? It will end up being Bush v Clinton - just like we all predicted a year ago.
